Shameful and reprehensible behavior by the cuck just trying to coattail one last time, when we all know he's done and can't really contribute at this point
That's why he's leading the team in drating.

Come on now, both KL and Green are jigger parts of why the Spurs defense is so good this year. Dont get me wrong Tim is still an effective anchor and paint protector but if Kl and green arent hogher in drating then that stat is suspect tbh

You play and coach ball, right? Perimeter defenders are much more effective knowing someone has their backs. They can go out in somebody's face and defend their outside shooting knowing help is available if their man drives past them.

Dont play as much anymore ... but yes I coach. And yes perimeter defenders benefit from an anchor just as post defenders benefit from the pressure a perimeter player places on the play-makers of teh opposing offense. Kiwi and green make it difficult for most average wing players to make clean entry passes, they make fronting the post easier they allow the bigs to help and recover ...so we are going to ignore all of that?

Are you telling me, Amb when you watch the Spurs ...drating confirms what you see with your own eyes that Duncan is THE BEST DEFENDER on the Spurs right now?! Are you kidding me?!
Duncan cant switch pnr against quality wing players and PG's without serious rotation help. he is not very mobile when closing out to the 3point line. He cant get back quick in transition. I saw multiple layups inside with Duncan around last night and he could do little to block or affect the shots even though he was in the vicinity. But that is OK, dude is almost 40 of course he would struggle in those areas. but in smaller spaces in the paint around the rim he is still a great defender with great hands and one of the best bigs at contesting inside without jumping or fouling of any big man I have ever seen. That still doesnt make him the best defender on the spurs right now. Touting this drating ...makes me trust it less and less. no way can you watch both Tim and Kiwi play defense even in the team concept and tell me Tim is a better defender right now so again, that stat is bull . I would even argue that Green in some ways is more effective but I'll just stick with Kiwi for now.

Didnt' ignore that at all, but the state of the NBA is that the league is now a perimeter dominating league, and I can't really think of any significant low post threats that would require the attention you mentioned, other than Cousins, or maybe the Gasol brothers (Lopez to a much lesser extent).

He isn't the best defender on the Spurs, he is integral to the success of the Spurs defense.
