What do you think of Michele's xmas card with her 6yr old packing, btw? That qualifies as "elementary school kids"

That Christmas card has a warm and inviting feel to it

Second from the right ain't bad from the neck down tho.
I'm OK with trained teachers packing.
In what situation would they use the gun
Sandy Hook certainly comes to mind.
Yes, Molly, straight outta UofXXX should need to be a trained firearm professional to take down the shooter in the 1/20,000,000 chance her classroom gets hit up. I'm sure that will reduce kids getting gunned down.
Principal: Here Molly, put this Glock in your classroom safe and make sure to have it loaded without one in the chamber and with the lock enabled and also make sure none of your kids see the code. Your college did train you in gun safety right?
Molly: Umm, yes! Now I'm gonna teach these kids to read. Where is the safe and what is the code?
ing moron.
Yes. Put a gun in every one of America's 20,000,000 classrooms. What could go wrong?
who said every classroom, dumb ?
^This dumb .
And this guy had a murder machine but didn't want to pull it because he knew LE was on the way and didn't want to get shot himself
good guy with a gun
But at Umpqua Community College, we had an example of at least one "good guy with a gun" present on campus. John Parker Jr., a military veteran and UCC student, explains that while he ran toward the scene, pulling his gun could have resulted in even more deaths -- including his own

We get it puta.
guns are bad.
boohoo
Don't shoot your off!
What are the odds of that happening in the average school? .000001% would be my approximate guess
So why do anti gun advocates keep talking about Sandy Hook if it's so incredibly rare?
They're referencing the high capacity gun (s). He got off 154 shots in 5 minutes and it could easily have been more.
But hey, instead of getting rid of the high capacity gun, let's add more guns just in case something that has an incredibly small chance of happening actually happens.
exactly
so why ban semi automatic weapons from all law abiding citizens on that incredibly small chance?
happens
bad people happen
Because they kill a lot of people very quickly. In any number of different places.
But that's a different goalpost. Why add guns to classrooms? To protect against what exactly? A gunman with an incredibly low chance of ever showing up?
You're putting a loaded weapon in a confined room full of kids. That makes no sense for a lot of reasons.
30 round magazines are standard capacity FYI.
Are you okay with an armed police officer on a campus full of kids?
Standard for what?
An armed peace officer patrolling the school, in and out whose sole purpose is security? Of course.
Much better than some on edge stressed out teacher
The capacity. Anything less is limited (20, 10, 5) anything more is high (50,100)

Cabelas says 30 rounds is high capacity
You linked to a .22 magazine at Cabelas. Lanza used an AR15 (.223/5.56) at Sandy Hook, standard capacity magazine for that is 30 rounds.
