FL Guv Puts Out Video Attacking Random Woman Who Called Him 'As*hole'

Republican Florida Gov. Rick Scott's campaign slammed a woman who shouted him down in aStarbucks this week as an "anarchist" who refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance in a video released Friday.

"You may have seen this video of a terribly rude woman at a coffee shop cursing and screaming at Gov. Scott," a voiceover begins the video, which is dubbed "Latte Liberal Gets An Earful."

The woman, identified by local media as former Palm Beach County Commissioner Cara Jennings, shouted, "you're an asshole!" when Scott walked into a Gainesville, Florida Starbucks.

After cutting to Jennings questioning Scott's oft-repeated promise to create one million jobs, the voiceover continues: "Well, that woman clearly has a problem. And it turns out she’s a former government official who refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance and calls herself an anarchist."

After highlighting two enlarged images of Jennings' face, the video cuts to a map of the neighborhood around the Starbucks to highlight jobs created in the area.

The video ends with a voiceover concluding "almost everybody" has a job, "except those who are sitting around coffee shops, demanding public assistance, surfing the internet, and cursing at customers."

Jennings isn't running for office, but the video quickly went viral after it was posted online earlier this week.

I guess some posters want the govt to help and some (like pgardn) don't. I rather buy private insurance and depend on myself.
I don't want federal help so I live away from Eartquakes and Hurricanes. You could not get private insurance by itself on your coastline. Actually all insurance has some State and federal regulation. But Florida is a live at your own risk type of place IMO.

We helped a of a lot of Katrina people here. Some of the nicest as well as devious people I have met.

Any thoughts on your governor spending money on an attack ad aimed at a cons uent?

Or how about a response to this:

    http://www.politifact.com/florida/st...-medicare-fra/

Scott started what was first Columbia in 1987, purchasing two El Paso, Texas, hospitals. Over the next decade he would add hundreds of hospitals, surgery centers and home health locations. In 1994, Scott’s Columbia purchased Tennessee-headquartered HCA and its 100 hospitals, and merged the companies.

In 1997, federal agents went public with an investigation into the company, first seizing records from four El Paso-area hospitals and then expanding across the country. The investigation focused on whether Columbia/HCA had committed Medicare and Medicaid fraud.
During his 2010 race, the Miami Herald reported that Scott had said he would have immediately stopped his company from committing fraud -- if only "somebody told me something was wrong." But there were such warnings in the company’s annual public reports to stockholders -- which Scott had to sign as president and CEO.
    Florida. Electing this guy

Speaking as a Floridian, Rick Scott has been good for our state.
Completely forgot to link to this whopper. You guys remember this story right? A large number of infants died at a florida hospital due to lack of safety and quality standards. Safety and quality standards that had been deregulated by Rick Scott, su iously after he received donations from the owners of said hospital.

Do you think patients of that hospital (and others) share your opinion of Gov. Scott?
