So true. Just like in 2013 when the Heat came in at the end of March. They sat James and Wade and still won. It was clear then that the Spurs couldn't beat them and that the Heat wouldn't need any help from the Spurs to win the Finals.
Did the heat ring that year?

Doesn't sound like a good example to me. Sounds lime Heat had the psychological advantage since regular season. Hope its not the same case here

Pop needs to stop playing nice and call the Warriors out for what they get away with, all the moving screens and excessive physical play they get away with. Do it for Timmy Pop.

Yes, but not because they had psychologically beaten the Spurs down by winning under adverse cir stances in San Antonio and not because they swept the season series.

Yep. 2013 was a prime example of a team never having a chance because it was mentally beaten before the series ever started.

Agreed. We have to win, for our psyche if nothing else. We lose tomorrow night, our ceiling is bowing out in 5 games to the Dublets in the WCF. If we win tomorrow night, our ceiling is defeating them in 6.
All of that based on one game eh?

Did 168 give you that insight?

What are you talking about? Miami didn't beat us that year. We gave it to them, they didn't earn it or take it from us. We handed it to them.

You guys are making too much out of these regular season match ups they are not always an accurate indicator of how the playoffs will go. I remember the Mavs losing their final 2 regular season match ups with the lakers in 2011. Mavs lost a home game to the lakers and then got blown out in Staples. Everybody assumed after these losses that the lakers would have an easy time with the Mavs in round 2 when actually the opposite would happen. I remember getting hyped over the spurs winning their final regular season matchup with the lakers in '01 which was a win in staples center and thinking the spurs would take out the lakers in the playoffs. The 91 bulls lost their final regular season match up with the pistons and everybody assumed that the bulls still wouldn't be able to beat the pistons in the playoffs.
