Shut up, pussy.
I'm going early on this one. Not because of the effort or potential result (they might win this game), but because it's the same old I've been harping on.
This team can't make open shots and especially threes against good teams. There's no explanation for it, but barring a departure from it, they have no chance to win the championship, no matter how good the defense is.
Shut up, pussy.
Have to agree with TD21. How the do you hold a team to 35 first half points and can't even take a lead into the half, at in' home where you're undefeated?
What's even more disturbing is we had 12 more shot attempts than the Warriors.
I mean, the Grizzlies ty offense managed 100 against these guys. I don't get it.
This offense is a disgrace. The can't open up big leads (which, once again, they should have on these assholes) or come back from big deficits against good teams because they can't make wide open shots against them.
It doesn't help matters that Leonard thinks he has to do it himself against this team and is in over his head as a straight iso guy or that Aldridge can't effectively post any of their rotation bigs.
Green's confidence is obviously completely shot and so is mine in them winning the championship. If they get through the Thunder, they're probably losing to these pricks in 5.
Well, they have a half to change my mind. Hopefully they explode in some manner, but it will probably be Curry exploding while our garbage offense continues to miss wide open shots.
The offense is not a disgrace. Disgrace is not generating looks - the offense is doing that. The shooting is a disgrace, but the offense is functioning quite well.
Oh, so it took you to game 80 to figure this out.
Who cares how many open looks are generated when you can't convert?
I know you're trying not to be results oriented, but this trend has existed for 2 months now. Danny, Manu, Patty, etc can't hit the in' ocean when wide open. Yes, I know they've had some good games, but like I've been saying, it's one good game followed by five ty games with this group.
This should be a statement win blowout. And that's why I (and presumably TD21) are beyond frustrated.
It took them all of 2 minutes to erase 28 minutes of being thoroughly outplayed. Mentally, that has to be damaging to the Spurs. This game was lost in the 1st though. The Spurs should have had a major lead.
The genius better play Ginobili major minutes the rest of the way, hope he doesn't defer to Leonard and Aldridge too much and turns back the clock.
Also..gotta love Pop resting season-long cold ers like Green/Mills.....can't shoot for but they need to take off games .
As much as I like them, they are the main two culprits for what ails this team.
Squandering Curry and Green resting is a killer. Leonard had the last 3 minutes of the 3rd off; he should have started the fourth. Maybe Aldridge too. Depending on how it was going, they could have tried to sneak him another minute going into/out of a TV timeout.
What i meant they are getting rest games like the big 3 despite shooting bricks all season long..
I know what you meant.
Spurs are the kings of letting teams get over on them and embarrassing themselves on national TV, which is why they've rarely been favorites.
By the way, the officiating has been atrocious.
ON OUR OWN ING HOME COURT
Giving up a 23-4 run to KD/Westbrook/Ibaka-less Thunder at home...![]()
I don't get it, is Dwayne Casey their HC?
with shaky mentality of its two best players, this team could be ripe for a meltdown before WCF..we have been playing like since Pop thought it is cute to switch off after the second Warriors game..
Can this team get any more mental midget? Fouling a 2 point attempt with the shot clock turned off? Really?
And these assholes still can't break 100 points in reg, facing a poor defensive team WITHOUT their best 3 players. But Boris and Manu
This team has showed nothing for the past month. Not one statement win.
You know I have said this b4 but ppl might think I want them to retire. Truth is they are retiring. POP has to get younger or new guys experience and these games are perfect bc our seed is already guaranteed.
I have one clear word for you: Kmart. Since this guy popped up we have lost to a lot of teams, Pop has given him all opportunities, closed games with him, rested ppl to open up space for him, etc. The dude had like 2-3 hot games that we lost and was garbage everywhere else.
Warming this one up. The road problems continue. They just can't blow games open on the road.
Spurs have been terrible for a while now. Luckily for them, the bottom half of the west are terrible this year.
Pretty ironic that the 2011 Memphis series started this thread
