I'm not giving up on this team but diaw would have made a difference for sure.

Even with curry dropping 37 and the spurs missing open shots they were right there. Boris would control the pace and take advantage of mismatches in the post. Anderson isn't ready yet.

Reasonable take, we could add that if Boban was somewhat usefull for spots, Duncan is also usefull and better for the same situations.

Kiwi shooting 7-22 was the difference in a 6 point game, and one of those was a garbage time dunk

That's still a higher percentage than MVParker.

Agree with OP. Diaw is probably the 3rd most important player in a potential series. I just hope our backcourt doesn't cancel it out with their ty production.

He had more assists than MVParker, too.

Kawhobe as the first option = first round exit to LAC.

Can you name me a series where he showed up, and didn't take 2+ games off?

Kiwi missed a bunch of jumpers that he normally knocks down. Not worried about him.

I can name a couple of series where Pop sat MVParker and KL took over. Oh, and we got 5 that year.

The key with Diaw is that he's the only post playmaker the Spurs have, tbh..obviously the shooters will need to make shots to successfully utilize any potential double teams or swarms, but still, it was evident the last time he played vs. GS that he can create holes in their defense..

Aldridge is not a good passer out of the post, Duncan posting is no longer a good option, and the Spurs haven't really been posting Kawhi that much lately..
