I didnt understand why Crymond shot the FTs if it was Bogut that was the fouled my West!
The rule says that when a defensive player shove an offensive player into another -either in shooting motion or the team is already in the Bonus-, the player who's taking the shot will be the one shooting FT's. They explained the rule in the 2nd game vs the Worriers, when Porker shoved Livingston(IIRC) into Curry.

One of my favorite Spurs of all time, win one for DWest!
Damn Steven Adams was trying to get in the scuffle. Dude is scary and would easily go at it with West IMO

It doesn't matter. He's showing they aren't going to punk out our team. You need an enforcer in these playoffs. The Spurs were so soft in 2014 that they wouldn't even go against Ibaka because he was a 'scary shot blocker'. That almost caused us to choke that series. We need backbone on the team.

Agreed. That Perkins got pushed Tim a couple seasons ago, and Spurs let it slide.

Kanter is soft, great move by DWest getting in his head.. They're going to be seeing each other a lot when the second units are out there

Good for DWest. I don't know what they said, but it looked like Kanter put a hand on him? It sure looked to me like Kanter knew he'd ed up.

Mario Elie wouldn't let opposing players help one of his guys off the floor. The team needs a guy that's salty. As long as he keeps his head, that's a good thing.
That Mario Elli thing sounds like too much.

But overall I do like that West is tough. Can only hope he can also have the impact needed from his play.

Both are pretty reliable bigs and both seem like Spurs material.

This just my recollection after a few beers but I think right before the buzzer, Kanter was grabbing DWest arm/elbow rather than just putting a hand on him defensively as the ball was put into play. West then yanks his arm loose. Then after the buzzer you see what is in the video posted on the first page and West pushes Kanters arm away.

Yeah, I hope West brings that toughness in the playoffs. The whole team needs to bring something more than just "Spurs system" mechanical efficiency. Bring a little at ude. And chutzpah.

Perkin's used to lockup Timmay, meanwhile West is no better than Bonner at protecting the rim.
