The Spurs haven't won a playoff series where one of the big 3 didn't lead them in scoring in the big-3 era. Most likely, that ends this year. It was a good run for the big-3-led Spurs. Time for the next generation.

i love the spurs but in all reality how is a team gonna win if both theyre guards cant score? Green is ice cold and parker's shot is dying. The only offence left is the forwards.. now imagine this, while competing against a team like gsw where both theyre guards are a threat and theyre forwards too...
    So meaning what?
We lose so much more energy playing D cos we have to guard literally all 5 of them ( while they save energy while they only have to watch out for our forwards, in this case is leonard and aldridge)
And on offence, we are weak, compared to them, as they have gunners everywhere.

All that would do would be ensuring playoff wins. What we're really trying to do is transition apparently.

Great point, forgot that this team's win record is insanely good when Tony leads in scoring.

Gotta give some confindence to our "future"

People are putting too much emphasis on the back court. The Spurs' front court is scoring more than most teams'. It evens out as long as Green and Parker play well defensively.

Perks of playing with Tim and Kawhi. You get to play like a traffic cone on defense.

I guess it's pretty established that this is the first year Duncan wasn't our best big. Although I think I may have argued splitter was more important a few times. Tiago/timmy was probably a matchup decision. Now, I don't think we win any series without lma

If any of Duncan or Ginobili needs to play a major role in any of these playoffs series then i won´t declare "the end" of the big 3 era.

Parker on the other side should be still playing well, the fact that he isn´t doesn´t negate that this year´s big 3 should be him, LA and Kiwi, but him sucking so far make that every time he plays well is like a throwback game, when it should be the usual thing.

I would declare "the end" the moment we win an important playoffs series without needing great games from Tim and Manu.

    For sure.

Obviously we need everyone else too. Old fellas and young are needed, but it's most definitely the first season that your two clear cut best players are none of the big 3 and the third option is not clear cut either. It should be Tony, but it might be Manu or Mills depending who is having a good game.

Lol, Parker was leading the Spurs in scoring way before Kawhi. Before Kawhi, Parker was averaging 25-30 PPG in playoff series.

How is the "big three era" over? Duncan, Manu and Kawhi are still going strong, tbh.

Changing the subject away from defense. Porker stans really are no different from Kobe stans.

Before Kawhi, Parker was averaging 25-30 PPG in playoff series.
Before Kawhi, Porker was getting knocked out of the first round 4-1 by the Mavs, swept out of the playoffs by the Suns and lodging 8 against Memphis.
