he learned from the best..Italian coaches are by far the best (mainly defensive) tacticians in the world..and he was hard ass defensive midfielder in late 1990s Calcio (best league back then)..

he won those trophies without a top 20 soccer player in the world on his team..

I expected Atlético Madrid to win this game, since their two recent games were 2:1 for Barcelona that both started as 0:1 for Atleti. It was improbable Barça was to get a third good game, specially not in the Vicente Calderón.

Barça got help with Iniesta, that was a very clear red card. 2:0 with extra player was game over. The ref realized the call was too ridiculous, so he later had to balance calling the hand a free kick instead of penalty for Barça.

Real had better teams in 2011-2013, but couldn't even sniff the Finals..this cushy run is similar to United 2011 (Bursaspor/Rangers/Valencia in their group stage and then Marseille, Chelsea & Schalke in KO) only to get stomped in the Final..
