Manu couldn't do what Kobe did tonight. That was special .

No..... You couldn't . You couldn't get off 50 shots if you tried. You'd get ripped on nearly every possession .
Seriously? Kobe would be a terrible fit for
the Spurs! He is a egomaniac!
No, because I would probably get all alone. I seriously could probably get around 30 pts on 50 wide open shots, tbh.![]()
Me too!
Kirby turned down a contract to play in Spain for Barcelona![]()
Reggie at 39 scored 39 AGAINST Kriby on 18 shots but the Kirby fan club is going to claim he couldn't put up 10 air-balls while jacking up 50 shots.![]()
You don't have to be in a fan club to appreciate a great players career and a great moment in sports history.
Great moment in history in a in' meaningless game where someone scores 60 on an NBA record 50 shots including a bunch of airballs.
I'm pretty sure it will be encapsulated on those "60 Greatest Playoff Moments" DVDs.
Meh, done arguing this....Kobe is not the antichrist you want to claim he is. It was a great moment in sports history for an NBA legend... That's All. I enjoyed it and I hope others did too because these moments and players are few and far between.
I agree. Don't see what that has to do with people sucking off a role player for shooting 50 times against a lottery team in a meaningless game, though.
Kobe Bryant...a Hall of Fame career, ended with class...and thats not even counting the win, cheers!
I enjoyed watching Kobe take the Warriors spotlight with his 60pt game over the Warriors love fest on ESPN. Draymond gave a speech like they just won the championship. Glad some attention was toward Kobe's last game. It was also nice to see Pop on the jumbotron talk about Kobe.
Stupid question. Unless we can trade green and porker for something, useless bull question.
That I could agree with. You saying Manu doesn't have a chance of doing what Kobe did, with the freedom of taking everyshot he wants is what is bull . Manu > Kobe at this point. Mainly because one is an ex-player, but still.![]()
As far as letting go of my dislike for a bit since he's retiring, I think it's cool he got to score 60 one last time and win.
Shaq had asked him to score 50, half joke I guess, and he said No right away.
From a personal standpoint it's nice.
From a basketball standpoint, it's good for the Lakers he's gone. He should have retired or at least taken better care of his body about 6 years ago.
If he very hypothetically came to play for the Spurs, what role could be fill? Manu's role?
Could he defend or be a spot up shooter?
I've never been a Kobe fan, but that last game was pretty impressive... Still, if you look at his stats objectively, this season has been a complete disaster. His FG% was at an all time low and the number of 3pt attempts he took with the lowest high volume 3ptFG% in the league is really just inexcusable... The Warriors and the Spurs played the right way this year-- that's why I watch basketball. High volume inefficiency, hot-dogging, and disinterest in wins/loses is more of an entertainment spectacle than it is actual basketball.
i would never want this piece of rapist on this team. I'd rather have Manu and he can even have 5 to's a game.
I don't know that he's got enough left. Certainly can't make plays like Manu. Also, I don't know that he'd fit in even as a decent spot up shooter. He's played his whole career looking for his shot...more so than ever recently. I'm not sure he could break that mentality and be part of a system that requires moving the ball around. I think it'd get to Kobe and he'd either take the open shot or take a couple of dribbles to see if he could get an open shot. I think a swing pass would be the last option and it would bog the whole thing down.
I can't imagine him and Parker on the court at the same time.
If Kobe retired after 14 years I could see him coming back. After 20, no.
Being accused of rape ≠ being a rapist. Just look at the Zach Randolph situation.
What's their PER head to head comparison this season and career?
