Yes I was, we were called Little Lou and the Voodoos. I played the harmonica. We were a blues band, we had...
Louis Dovall on vocals
Bobby "Slim" Terrell on lead guitar
"Boom Boom" Ara Mahalik on bass
Johnny "Gizmo" Williams on the drums.
We played gigs all along the west coast, this was from about 1973 to 1979, then Lou (our leader) was shot and kliied coming out of the Do Drop Inn Lounge in Wasco (west of Bakersfield) by a jealous husband, Little Lou had a bad habit of messing with married women and it cost him. Funny how the only song Little Lou ever wrote was..."Jealous Husband Blues", I had a nice little riff here.
Without Little Lou we gave it up since none of us could sing worth a damn.
Little Lou sounded just like....

A band I'd love to have played my harmonica in.
The cat I first tried to mimic, took me a few months to finally figure it out.
Then I discovered.....

The most famous harmonica lead in musicdom. This might be the most covered blues tune of all time also.
That is the other Sonny Boy, Rice Miler in the picture.
Speaking of bands, is this a tight three piece or what?
Hey Avante, that harmonica the let you play...did it just have one hole on the end?
Let's drop the childish crap, ok?
Here are those you must hear to truly appreciate blues harmonica.
Noah Lewis...Cannon Jug Stompers
Bullet Williams
Alfred Lewis
Jaybird Coleman
Will Shade...Memphis Jug Band
Hammie Nixon
Sonny Boy Williamson 1
Big Walter Horton
George "Harmonica" Smith
Jimmy Reed
Jazz Gillum
Sonny Terry
James Cotton
Frank Frost
Lazy Lester
Forest City Joe
Peg Leg Sam
Junior Wells
Wild Child Butler
James Harman
William Clarke
Sonny Boy Williamson 2
Carey Bell
Dude, instead of trying to be a clown why not take advantage of this and learn something, ok?

wow, can't believe how much better blakes blues picks are.
this is embarrassing for you.
Ok...maybe I was too vague. The harmonica...did Lou have to unzip his pants for you to play it
Why this need to constantly look stupid?
Nope, not vague, just stupid.
Here is one of the really sad things in them blues, all we got from this wizard was one record, what a shame.
Ok...let me try another way...so the harmonica you played...was it attached to balls?
Are you still at this level? Come on guy, aren't you a bit old to act like this?
Why not learn a few things, ok?
I rattle off all these names of blues guys nobody here has ever heard of and this guy really wants to challenge me, hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It works like this...
We have prewar blues and postwar blues (1941)
We have the regions...Mississippi Delta (all Miss blues get stuck here), Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Memphis, Alabama, East Coast/Piedmont, St, Louis, Chicago, Detroit.
Now every region has those that best represent that region.
Then we have those who are the best example of, piano, guitar, harmonica, jug band, fiddle.
We have paleface blues, and that Appalachian sound.
Now when ya have learned the dozen or so who are the best examples of all that above, you'll be where I was about 10 years ago with them blues.
It's when ya can talk those who aren't the top dozen or so in a region, when ya can talk the obscure, that's when you are on my level. Good luck with that.
