Let's hope they both make it that far! I feel an early upset brewing...Houston are gonna give GS a bit of trouble.
The Clippers have been playing pretty damn good too. I could see them ing the Warriors up.
Spurs in 6. I've already run the statistics and metric analysis.
There is also a 42% probability that LAC takes out the Warriors. So we might be looking at a rematch from last season.
Not that bad, but I expect warriors in 6.
It would suck, but I'm prepared for it. The Warriors are far past the point I thought they would start breaking down. Jump-shooting teams simply don't last like this. They've made a deal with the devil and there's nothing to be done. My question is how many games they actually lose in the POs.
they're coming off a chip and their best player is playing at an all time level. pretty 01 lakers-like
Only 10(?) number 2 seeds have ever won the NBA championship.
How many have ever twoed it?
How man 2 seeds won 67 games or went 40-1 at home?
Pretty sure Spurs are the only one.
Good point. 67 wins usually gets you the #1 seed.
The only other team to accomplish both of those were the #1 seed in the east and won the NBA le. (Celtics)
So if we're basically the 86 Celtics, one of the greatest teams of all time, YET we have a better point differential and defense than they did (I think, haven't confirmed this) I think we should be confident. Not overly so - that's a fantastic Warriors team - but they are NOT invincible.
If you are going to go that route then they are more similar to the '92 Bulls as that might have been their ACTUAL best squad (rather than '96) since Jordan was at his PEAK. Plus, Jordan/Pippen/Horace are more comparable to Curry/Klay/Draymond than Shaq/Kobe along w/ being a small team w/ dominant perimeter players like the Duds.
