Lakers have a ton of money now and some good youth pieces in Russell, Nance Jr, Randleman, and Jordan Clarkson. First we need to get a very good coach and there isnt much out there sadly. Eventually, a few superstars are going to band together in LA and make a few le runs. It's one of the reasons why I am really happy Kobe is retired...it wasnt good for anyone at this point.
There is a huge jump in the cap for 2016-17. Durant's max will be around $27 million for the first year. So will DeRozan's. Whiteside's would be $23 million. The ~$65 million cap number is about right after factoring in the cap holds for the 6 empty roster spots the Lakers would have, but that's $77 million in salary for those three.I'm gone leave this right here:
