Boston deserved Charlotte in the first after being really good this year and having had to face Cle in the first round last year. Plus, Miami only having to win one series to spar with Cle was optimal. D-Wade vs. LBJ would've been nice.

The Hornets remind me of the pre-Rose/Noah when they had Deng, Ben Gordon, Captain Kirk, Nocioni, Thabo & a declining vet in Ben Wallace.

Kemba has to play like 2009 Ben Jordan for the Hornets to win: (The 2007 Bulls lost to the Pistons who are kind of like the current Heat)

MIAMI -- Chris Bosh will play a role for the Miami Heat in the playoffs, though it will be one that doesn't include returning to the court.

The All-Star forward gave an emotional address to his teammates before their first practice of this postseason Friday. He spoke about what playoff time means to him and how it pains him to be unable to play right now.

So, he's the new Juwan Howard.

Al Jefferson is a career loser that arguably puts up empty numbers, but he has owned the Heat throughout his career IIRC..Whiteside struggles to defend post scorers, too, could be something to exploit for Charlotte(although Jefferson is better off as the #1 bench guy, since he kills any type of team-oriented offense)..

Big Al/Whiteside are better off coming off the bench, tbh.

Whiteside clogs the paint & shrinks the floor so Wade/Dragic can't drive (he doesn't like rolling to the rim) meanwhile Big Al takes the ball out of Batum/Kemba's hands. Big Al did school Whiteside when they were both coming off the bench a couple of weeks ago.

Like Zach Lowe said, Batum being gimpy is what gives me pause. Plus when MIA plays well, they are definitely better. The one thing to watch for me will be can Whiteside effectively defend CHA when he's in? CHA shoots a ton of 3's and relies heavily on that.

Whiteside, because of him chasing blocks, has been very hesitant to close out to the 3PT line. That could be a big time issue if he continues that bad habit.

Luol Deng having a fluke game was the difference maker. He has 25 points on 90 percent shooting.
