I was hoping slowing the game down would work and on theory it should...but it is pretty aparent that the mavs have very little offensive talent. They need another guy besides Dirk who can score and out talent his matchup...
Slowing the game down always requires multiple good scoring options.
Maybe they need to g back to playing faster. I dont expect them to do it in game 2, but if they lose again in game 2 by a good margin, they should.

You'd take possibly the worst defender in NBA history over Westbrook on a playoff team? I hate Westbrook but at least he's not a massive turnstile on D.
Also, Nash wasn't nearly as good during his tenure with the Mavs.
That said, I'd probably still take KD. Just playing the advocate for now. But if Durant doesn't ring, he'll be a top 2-3 player in NBA history that's ringless, not the company he wants to be in.
