Cheers my friend! Let's blow them out and keeping getting our rest in the 4th quarter. I think sweeping the Grizz will give Pop time for more practices and a better team by the time we face the big boys.

Not thread-worthy so I'll put it here. But our man Boris was 13th in the 6th Man vote this year. I would think Manu would get the token Spurs vote, or maybe West because of his well-chronicled financial sacrifice but obviously someone (or three voters) noticed how important Bobo is against the Dubs. If he turns the tide against the Dubs he'll be the most impactful 6th Man of the season. Until then....

    Here's the complete results.

2015-16 KIA NBA SIXTH MAN OF THE YEAR RESULTS
    Player | Team | 1st place (5 pts) | 2nd place (3 pts) | 3rd place (1 pt) | Total Points
    Jamal Crawford | L.A. Clippers | 51 | 23 | 17 | 341
    Andre Iguodala | Golden State Warriors | 33 | 35 | 18 | 288
    Enes Kanter | Oklahoma City Thunder | 19 | 20 | 27 | 182
    Will Barton | Denver Nuggets | 15 | 21 | 20 | 158
    Evan Turner | Boston Celtics | 3 | 7 | 10 | 46
    Ryan Anderson | New Orleans Pelicans | 4 | 6 | 5 | 43
    Jeremy Lin | Charlotte Hornets | 1 | 6 | 7 | 30
    Ed Davis | Portland Trail Blazers | 1 | 5 | 1 | 21
    Dennis Schröder | Atlanta Hawks | 1 | 2 | 6 | 17
    Tristan Thompson | Cleveland Cavaliers | 2 | 0 | 6 | 16
    Shaun Livingston | Golden State Warriors | 0 | 1 | 4 | 7
    J.J. Barea | Dallas Mavericks | 0 | 1 | 2 | 5
    Boris Diaw | San Antonio Spurs | 0 | 1 | 2 | 5
    Zach LaVine | Minnesota Timberwolves | 0 | 1 | 1 | 4
    Darren Collison | Sacramento Kings | 0 | 1 | 0 | 3
    Allen Crabbe | Portland Trail Blazers | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1

If Boris played full time he'd be absolutely be ranked higher. He'd need consistent minutes and no injuries. He's better than anyone on that list

Absolutely true, as long as you add the caveat: "and if he doesn't get bored".

Yeah, yeah, yeah, WS has it's flaws, but I like it.

For single seasons; in the regular season; in 2015-16; requiring Games Started <= 41; sorted by descending Win Shares.

    1) Tristan Thompson, came off the bench more than he started, but dump him for 34 GS.
    2) Enes Kanter, my first place vote.
    3) Ed Davis, my second place vote.
    4) Bismack Biyombo, my third place vote even with 22 GS.

    7) David West, 19 GS

    9) Patty Mills, and with only 3 GS might get the Spurs 6th man.

    15) Andre Iguodala, not even best Warrior

    29) Boris Diaw
    30) Manu Ginobili (10th man in Spurs minutes)

    40) Kyle Anderson

    45) Boban Marjanovic
    46) Jamal Crawford

For those who might be interested, tonight's officials are: Mike Callahan (chief), Tom Washington, and James Williams

This is Callahan's 172nd career playoff game. He has worked 31 prior Spurs playoff games and the Spurs are 18-13 in those games (13-6 at home, 8-2 in the first round, and 6-1 at home in the first round). Callahan has worked 1 prior home game 2's in any playoff round and the Spurs won that game. Callahan has somehow never worked a Spurs/Grizzlies playoff game.

This is Washington's 146th career playoff game. He was worked 22 prior Spurs playoff games and the Spurs are 12-10 in those games (9-2 at home, 5-4 in the first round, and 5-1 at home in the first round). Washington has worked 2 prior home game 2's in any playoff round and the Spurs won both. Washington worked Game 3 (at Memphis) in 2011, which the Spurs lost.

Last year, Callahan and Washington worked together in Game 4 of the Spurs/Clippers series, which the Spurs lost at home.

This is Williams' 4th career playoff game. He has never previously worked a Spurs playoff game.

Very inconsistent player who coasts most of the season, got benched on account of his laissez faire this season and came up with some really nothing 0 contribution games, but he's indeed incredibly important to us against GSW and I think you are right a few guys noticed.

I don't think we have had a true 6th man this season. It was Manu early, but Pop started to push Patty to get mire shots up and develop his PG skills. Of the 2 bigs that are regulars, D West was the most consistent and he started a few games. Boban was very impactful in pretty much every game he played. When Manu got injured Anderson has some of his best games of the season and was able to pull 2 or 3 wins for us increasing his production. In general, the bench this season has been a committee with no single guy standing out, but Boris is an incredibly versatile player/playmaker who can play with anybody you place next to him.
