I pay for premium league pass to avoid this sort of .

Reggie Miller is a Star Trek Ferengie looking mother er who is one bitter anti Spurs because I dont have a ring and my brosister was a better palyer than him........ him and Greg Anthony.
Ya'll don't know how lucky we have it. Try listening to Brent Barry's dad commentate in the 90s. He was so smug. To be honest, I prefer Bill Walton. Sure, his takes were eh, but you can't beat his enthusiasm and love of the game.
To summarize Spurstalk's comments on this thread:
Every NBA commentator and analyst sucks, and the pre and post-game reporters and opinion givers (like Skip, Steven A., Wilbon, Kornheiser etc.) suck too.
Some of you fools need to go to broadcast journalism school, get your degrees, work journalism jobs for a couple of decades until you finally make it big, so you can show us how it should be done.
And then come back to Spurstalk and read post after post criticizing you for sucking at your job.
Hubie brown is awesome and easily best analyst out there.
Surprising such an ancient mummy has such a clear thinking IMO.
Great stuff from him every single time
He's been decent this series thus far.

I enjoyed that too. One of the better calls of that run.
I also miss Bill Walton. er is funny and usually has oddball takes that often involve silly tangents that just make you go wtf?!?!
I also miss that lil rapping roberto calling basketball. Costas can be insightful with colorful story telling that goes beyond the game. I'll never forget that one story from the 99 Finals where he was dining at some NYC restaurant and in comes David Robinson. Costas said that virtuality everyone stopped what they were doing to give Robinson a standing ovation.
Little tidbits like that are what make that easy on the ears for me.
Also agree that Stephen A and Skip calling a game would be very fun to listen to.
Reggie is pretty mediocre but I don't care enough to pe ion his removal.
Crazy that out of all the thousand options they should have for color commentary that he's the best they can get
everybody sign the paper and I'll show the police
Webber is by far the worst... not even close... dude has no clue... if u want to get what vanila means listen to him...
I've considered watching it on TNT and listening to WOAI for the play by play but I assume there is a delay on the telecast so doubt that would work.
Agreed though, FSSW's feed is turrible.
Schoening is even worse than Miller tbh
I have to remember not everyone has FSSW
That's a stretch, I'd take Bill over Reggie all day.
Why the distaste for The Stache?
Now that he has his health back it'd be fun to hear him again. He can't be worse than 90% of the garbage out there. Looking at you Houston announcers.
Racist post reported![]()
I haven't noticed anything particular to dislike about Reggie.
JVG is ok except when he rambles about the hack strategy. He is not afraid to criticize the officiating.
Hubbie seems to have an analytical style. That's cool by me.
Mark Jackson I don't like so much.
I like Brown and Webber quite a bit. I don't really like Breen, as he likes to editorialize too much. Miller is pretty much hater with a microphone.
Some perspective on Miller. I don't love his commentating, but I think he talks up the underdog more than he simply just hates SA. Why is he going to say "Well, the Spurs need to do this on defense..." when the Spurs are up by 10+ points? Instead, he talks about what Memphis needs to do to get into the game. I don't think he hates on the Spurs like Barry does, but rather I think he just talks about what the losing team or struggling team or underdog team needs to do to compete. I also like Van Gundy and I think he is thoughtful about the Spurs and is fair in his calling. Never been a fan of Marc Jackson, but I don't hate him. Webber is bland. Like I said earlier, Walton is fun. Put him with Hubie and the television might explode with basketball knowledge and entertainment.
I don't care if he loves or hates the Spurs, but Reggie Miller is just ing terrible. He is by far the worst thing about the series against the Grizzlies - even worse than the quality of the D-Leaguers that Memphis has to play.
Now we're talking. That guy makes me feel like I'm watching games on shrooms.
