There is speculation going around that this is going to keep him out of the whole first round and that it could even be an achilles strain. He voluntarily pulled himself out of shootaround after attempting a jumpshot and wincing in pain. It doesnt seem like he rolled his ankle from the video in the Rockets game so maybe there is something more going on here.

Kerr ran him into the ground during the season so he's resting him the first round. The Rockets are just bad enough that he can get away with not playing him

Nah, resting him now can only be positive:
    1) More rest for Curry
    2) Increased confidence for the rest of the team
    3) Built in excuse in case they fumble later in the playoffs

Houston is so bad, the Warriors can just have four players out there and beat them.

The Warriors should not have an excuse just because one player is out. They are the greatest team of all time, remember?

This is where being a one man team with no other All Stars comes back to get you.

It's a ploy to let the the refs know to make sure he stays untouched during the playoffs because he's very fragile.

Looks like they don't even know what's wrong at the moment? I've heard people mention his Achilles and his ankle then Steve Kerr mentioned his foot. Unless Kerr was deliberately being vague. Achilles injuries are a (ask Kobe) so if it's that it could linger and be a problem against a real NBA Team. The sort of thing where it feels a bit loose then you go to push off it and you're afraid you'll tear it to shreds. GSW are lucky they are playing a high school team in round 1, Curry wont even be needed until round 2 over a week away. I'm sure the gross mouthguard chewing little will be fine.
