Boban playing time is always a bonus
I mean you can see Pop and the players considering this so far as some summer league games but then you have people here bumping threads left and right with I told you so Kyle is getting minutes, Patty delivers, Parker sucks cauz 3-9 etc... I mean really ?
This Memphis team in his actual state would probably fight for worst team on a season with 15-16 Lakers tbh... They are depleted
look at starting 5
Barnes
Randolph
Andersen
Carter
Farmar
The only one that could get starting minutes in NBA worst teams would be Randolph
As I said in another thread
very few take aways... Patty is shooting well and is active (good signs), Pinkie seems to be a minor issue, Martin and Kyle can play against D leaguers (nice) in the POs... What else tbh ?
Boban playing time is always a bonus
They mean something from the Spurs getting ready for some tougher opponents. They should be making these games look even easier. They aren't going to have the luxury of having a couple of quarters to get their shots going or turn up the intensity against OKC or GSW.
they mean because when you embarrass people in the po, they get aggressive and injuries can come quickly.
Think if we had lost. ...same thing, a bunch of cliff jumping
These aren't the 80's or 90's. All teams are soft as Charmin. My only concern was Zaza and they're playing OKC so we are good![]()
We're all getting a chance to adjust to game threads without hundreds of head-bang emotes. It will take a little time but I, for one, am thankful for it.
The worry is that San Antonio might get sucker punched by a more prepared and tested OKC in the first game in san antonio. Even Pop Aknwoledged this in the post game presser for game 2.
Only true takeaway is Patty's shooting. The ball is going in the hole, regardless of the opponent
The games still count, and if Dallas can take at least one more from OC then the Spurs can get a significant rest advantage. No time for screwing around.
Still, you can tell that Pop did some basic game-planning and the players are putting forth decent effort on defense, but they're not playing near their ceiling. We might not see an all-out effort until game 1 vs OC, and we don't really know what the Spurs are consistenly capable of at this point.
Thread needs work tbh. The games are confidence builders. I definitely want patty kevin kyle and Boban playing like they are these last 2 than they were the last regular season games. Grizzly bears are still scrappy, and spurs are playing with and extending leads/closing quarters. Those things all mean a lot
We don't have anything else to talk about.
I think it means we're up 2-0 in the series tbh
Thank you for keepin' it real.
Good point. Despite some arguing these guys won't contribute, they may. You just never know in the next rounds what would happen, foul trouble happens, someone getting banged up happens. They needed this experience. + we really should not be TO the ball so much. It will kill us in later rounds.
+ we need to come up with new stuff too.![]()
2 playoff wins mean something re
that's fantastic
sorry man. that's going on my sig....
They haven't told us anything we didn't already know and that's the problem.
Since they've known all season that the offense needed to improve, I'm not concerned with a lack of intensity to start the Thunder series, but I am concerned that, after 84 game, it might not be fixable, particularly with it trending down as the season wore on.
I'd rather have the Bye we got this first round instead of the ing time-bomb we got last season against the Clippers.
Actually, this is better than just a Bye. This is extra time for the Spurs to work out the kinks and get into postseason mode with minutes and rotations against a non-threatening opponent, as well as time for LMA's pinky to get that much better.
Sure, it's weird not being pumped for postseason basketball. I semi-watched Game 2 at Top Golf last night, and caught up with the rest this morning. That normally would never happen for postseason Spurs basketball.
But for the team, it's definitely what the doctor ordered.
