he lost at the olimpics
he lost at the olimpics
Professional career
so jimmy duncan gets a pass. Good to know.
Olympic basketball - professionals since '92
Olympic boxing - amateur boxers
so it's better to lose against amateurs? like it's better for an nba team to lose against a team in the euroleague...
Maybe if that nba team was actually a high school team. Floyd was 18 or 19 and not a professional when he won bronze. He was fighting 25-30 year olds iirc. Also, he was kind of robbed of that fight, tbh. Olympic boxing is more corrupt than professional by far![]()
don't get me wrong, i like may, but he's not unbeaten and would get destroyed by mcgregor in less than a round.
He is unbeaten in what he was competing in for ~20 years, tbh. Amateur boxing != Professional boxing.
McGregor would win in the sport he competes in, lose in the one Mayweather competes in.
Money would get killed in a real fight against a real fighter, when he can't depend on a 75 year old man going blind to step between him and another man and saying "break it up". Because that's representative of a real fight when you can lean on the guy you're fighting with anytime you get in trouble.
Mayweather is a great boxer. Boxing is a great sport. But to pretend it's respective of how a real fight would ever happen is ing hilarious. Any top 10 mma fighter in any weight class would go through May like tinfoil.
Who gives a about real fights between people who will never fight, tbh?
90% of this forum who talks about what badasses they think they are?![]()
Haven't really seen anybody talk about Mayweather beating people up outside of the ring
He was a great boxer, legendary even. Beyond the ring... he makes some sensible business decisions and entertains, that's about it
A little bit of history

But mayeeather is way better than that guy
Better boxer, 100%
Not sure if you are serious or math literate.
There's not much to say... nobody here claimed Floyd was some sort of amazing all-around fighter.
He's a better boxer, though. I mean, what kind of boxing does a japanese wrestler know?
When your MMGay instincts start showing up

Box >>>>>>>>>> MMGay
But Mayweather taking advantage of McGregor lack of preparation for fights over 15 minutes is hardly a win for boxing, tbh.
The fact that McGregor took a couple of rounds is embarrasing enough. Mayweather would get killed on a UFC fight.
Pretty sure Mayweather was holding back tbh
He had to, too much money involved, imagine if the match lasted 2 rounds, lot of people would be mad lol
Even better that whole was staged.
"Let's find another way to make money"
McGregor didn't take . Did you watch the fight?
