He's relevant now else you wouldn't be starting threads about him. I didn't see you start one about how irrelevant Matt Bonner or Boban are.

He was the best Spur in 2013, and we only lost when he wasn't on the floor in game 6.

    https://youtu.be/iviKH8dnNY4

He was in close-out mode in that game, as he always has been throughout his career. Duncan was a FAR more clutch player than Kobe, and only mainstream casual fans would think otherwise.

Sorry for crappy formatting, but this table shows "clutch shooting stats" since 2000. Duncan and Lebron are tied for 1st in FG%, while Kobe is 12th among players analyzed.

Comparing a jump shooting Gaurds FG% to a Center/PF or someone like lebron whos entire game is going to the rim, is a hilarious comparison. Even if duncan was prime right now, he would be out of luck because his position now can run, jump, shoot (from anywhere) , steal, and block. Duncan is a solid solid PF, but only if hes paired with guys like David Rob, or MVParker. or Kawhi, or Lamarcus, the list goes on.

so your point is that kobe was only a contender with a dominating front court means his 12 rank is suspect? Yeah that was pretty apparent.

Why does position matter? Those stats are from the final minutes of 4Q and OT. If Kobe's best quality is his "killer instinct," he should make most of his shots at the end of games. Yet he actually misses more than Duncan and others by a significant percentage.

Besides, that's his fault for being a jump-shooting player. If posting up or driving to the basket are better ways of scoring, then he should do those things more.

Duncan uplifted and carried those players you listed, not the other way around (up until 2013, when he was 37 years old).

That doesn't make any sense. Bonner sucks too.

TD in what is likely his last season, gets a franchise best 67 wins, matches NBA record for home wins, could win an NBA championship.

Meanwhile, Kobe sets franchise record for losses, worst home record in franchise history and gets his coach, former Lakers showtime player Byron Scott fired in the process, and most likely is in Sri Lanka.

I know your salty because u keep bringing up Kobe. Stats tell a different story to what Duncan contributed, especially playoff time.
