There's no reason to believe that bathrooms offer a substantial opportunity for the abusers cited in these stats. The extreme majority of incidents of sexual abuse occur in a residence, or by a family member, or between two teenagers that are too far apart in age for it to be legal. Much of this is cited in your link. Not exactly comparable to the random creeper hiding out in a secluded area waiting for a victim, or the mythical Potential Bathroom Predator who just hasn't had the opportunity yet because of separate restrooms.
I try to never poop in a public bathroom. But if I do, I just take the top off the tank and poop in there.

As I mentioned earlier my main concern is for the kids at school that are forced to share a restroom. Why would gender neutral bathrooms at a school not offer another opportunity for children who are abusers? Seems like a perfect opportunity to me.

That Target pe ion probably has as many signatures now as there are transgenders in the US so these people do in fact exist in large numbers.
The perfect opportunity? I don't see how. We're talking about someone who has decided to assault a fellow schoolmate who probably knows who they are, in a confined area with many adults close by, without fear of the likely consequences. This would either need to happen between classes, when there would usually be several other students in the restroom, or during class, when (if the school is doing its job) you've been excused from class and can't exactly be hanging around the restroom for a long time waiting for a specific person to walk in by herself.
At worst it's an alternate opportunity, but I don't see why someone who is determined to rape a fellow student would choose a bathroom. Someone with that kind of determination to rape and that kind of disregard for consequences probably isn't just waiting for access to women's restrooms to do it.
I'm sure there is a greater than 0.00000000000% chance of this happening, and I'm sure it will be HUGE news when it does, but there are hundreds of other situations where women are at greater risk of abuse that we accept as a part of life.

Besides, nothing stops a bad guy with access to the women's restroom better than a good guy with access to the women's restroom.
I'm not talking just about rape but all sexual assaults/sexual harassment that happen on a school campus. Boys going through puberty are some stupid and horny mother ers, I'd rather limit their chances of acting on their urges. I guess you could have a bathroom security guard in every single school bathroom across the country but that seems like an awful waste of taxpayer dollars to appease .03% (even smaller if we are just talking transgender kids) of the population.
For one thing, I expect that 0.3% to grow dramatically in the next decade as it becomes more socially acceptable. Either way, we probably won't be close to this scenario for a long time, and when we are, I would expect restrooms to look a lot different... not just who is in them, but how they are built.
I think it will be single occupancy everywhere eventually which satisfies everyone, just seems like a huge waste of tax dollars to appease such a small part of the population.
If that happens it wouldn't be just for transgenders. I think we're generally moving in a direction where people are going to find the idea of pissing and ting in the same room as other people kind of archaic. Like the pissing troughs.
Besides, handicap access also appeases a very small percent of the population, but I don't see a lot of people complaining about that (except when I can't find a parking spot.)
And it will be over time, so it's not like there's going to be this mandate that every place of business and public facility has to remodel their bathrooms in a weekend. The taxpayer impact will probably be much lower than you expect.
