KA shutting up the haters... great D on Durant, and always in the right spot for rebounds.
He looked out of place when he first came into the game. That one loose ball he didn't act like he even wanted, and the shot he put up was ridiculous. But after that he redeemed himself on the defensive end.

This is the best the Spurs have looked since the 2014 Finals.
Only if you adjust for the quality of opponent. But the Spurs won by 50 in Philadelphia this season, and they looked pretty ing good there too.

Kyle Anderson has earned some brownie points with pop. Great defense on durant. Never bit on his bs carry crossover and used his length. Impressive.

I wonder if there is great rivalry between all these chair stacking guys. There's at least two hitting the NBA halftime circuit.
Could be wrong, but I bet they're a troupe, and work together. Like the different troupes of Stomp or Cirque. Just on a much smaller scale.

Can't believe Danny actually blocked Durant's jumper.
Must have felt amazing. At least until Durant grabbed the ball and made a quick shot right after.

All of the "little guys" for SA came in and played playoff level basketball. You can see the limitations of West/Kyle, etc.. But damn they did not back down and fought as hard as they could. That would go a long way.

I know it doesn't matter now, but SA needs one of TP/Mills to be good each game, both would be great. But at least one. Spurs gave up 6 offensive rebounds in the 1st quarter, then only 2 in the 2nd. Much better and they have to focus there. Everyone has to battle and guys like West/Kyle doing work on the glass when they are in is key to them not only getting minutes but sustaining.

Didn't he steal ("recover") the ball off Durant at the beginning of that same play?

It's always weird watching KA play, he's really slomo, sometimes it looks like he glides to the hoop, or just shuffles his feet to get in perfect position for a rebound. He's very precise with his movements. But yeah that shot was weak, though that's the only one he took. It looks like Parker and him have been instructed that their role wasn't to shoot tonight.

That half hook floater was atrocious. He could have just squared up and shot it or gone to the hole.

This is the first time a Popovich team has 2 players (Leonard & Aldridge) with 20 points in the 1st half of a regular OR playoff game.

In the Spurs win in San Antonio versus Golden State he blocked Curry as well. If Danny brings back his stroke the leagues in trouble.

yes, he's a pussy. But if he's defending Durant well and grabbing boards, then Green and KL are getting a rest. He's doing well. Glad to see

Adams had 3 offensive boards in the first 5 minutes. After that, the Spurs did a good job on the glass, I thought. West wrestled a couple away that they would have gotten in the regular season.
