Pop didn't want Kawhi to get his 3rd foul. With the way this game is getting called, it makes complete sense.
Westbrook was running so much, he didn't give Kawhi a chance to guard him. lol. Smart move

Thunder are getting any shot they want now, Spurs defense is just atrocious. LMA will not be able to shoot lights out and keep us in this forever.
OKC shot 56.4%, has 14 FTs compared to the Spurs' 6, and are +9 on the glass.
All that and the Spurs are down just 3. We got this.
What I want in the 2nd half
-Start the third with Kawhi orchestrating the offense like in game 1, enough duncan parker pnr's please
-Bobo first off the bench over West.
-No more boban
-Kawhi shadowing Chuckbrook's minutes

You have to be honest, take away LMA and the Spurs just don't look good on offense at all. They'd be in deep without LA. Lots of players are going to have to step up in this second half. They can't expect LMA to carry their asses the whole game. The defense was porous at the end there too. The defense needs to be much better too.
When you see a guy look off the way Kawhi looks, a lot of times they announce after the game that he had flu or something. I hope that's not it. Kawhi only played 13 minutes, so he should be fresh. And he has 4 fouls to play with. We need him to catch fire in the second half.
I have no doubt Kawhi will get it going in the second half. We need to tighten up on D - especially in transition. But we are in good shape.. At fans who thought this was not gonna be a tough game.
I'm sick of Leonard getting the beat out of him and gets what - 2 free throws? BS. And westchimp plays out of control most of the time and gets bailed out way too much.
OKC will eventually throw this game away as they are one of the most selfish, undisciplined teams you'll ever see.

Spurs did OK with Turnovers, not great. Spurs did solid on defensive glass, but did give up a few points. Free Throw disparity really hurting along with rotations.
Pop stat Kawhi/starters a lot in the first quarter, that got OKC going, then sat Kawhi again because of the fouls. Need Kawhi/Danny to play a lot in the 2nd half.

Problem is you've given two of the best scorers good looks and confidence. Tough to slow them down when they're in the zone even with Wingstop.

We got lucky with OKC turning the ball over so much. They had the Spurs D on its heels, then had 2 charges and a number of bad passes.
Spurs quick transition D has been poor.

Man, that FG% for OKC. That is rare vs SA. You have to think that will change with more Kawhi and better focus.
No guarantee of that, he looks way off today.
