Didn't Pop yell at Dwight during an all star game? Can't even imagine Dwight being on the Spurs at all.![]()
Maybe they could get some older veterans to play for cheap, for a chance to win a championship. Someone like, say... Rasual Butler.

Spurs don't say publicly so Lowe and co would need to talk to Durant's agent to get this take.
The people that discount it out of hand sound like Chinook last year telling us that Aldridge was impossible.
Durant is not coming here and it wouldn't make a lot of sense.
The last thing this team needs is another mega-star 3-4 when we are severely lacking at the 1, 2, and 5 spots. We need a legit center and/or a legit point guard, not a third max-contract forward in our starting five. Also, it could not be more obvious that Durant is headed to D.C. His home-town team hires his former OKC coach the year that he is a free agent? C'mon. He's going to the Wizards to join Gortat and Wall where that trio can do so some damage in the weak East.
What this team needs to do is go after a premiere point guard a la Kryie Irving or Isaiah Thomas. Bid adieu to Tim and Gino, ship Parker to whoever will take him, and pair a guard like Irving or Thomas with Aldridge as the focus of your offense, with Kawhi serving as that complimentary piece. Collect rings. Rinse and repeat.
lol at posters thinking Tony is getting traded..
PATFO would not trade one of the Big 3, they are Spurs for life.
Disagree. The front office loves Kawhi. Parker has animosity for Kawhi and is beyond washed up. Parker is thus expendable if Manu and TD retire and the "Big 3" is already dead.
That guy is an idiot if true.![]()
I'm not a betting man but I bet you whatever you want that Durant won't sign with the Spurs this offseason.
Is it my "English as second language" upbringing or this post makes no sense?
Spurs facing the Thunder in this postseason made this impossible (not that it was all that possible to begin with). If the Thunder beat the Spurs, he won't leave his home and partners to join the team they just defeated. And if the Spurs beat the Thunder, joining the team that eliminated you would be the ultimate move, and Durant seems like the kind of person that cares way too much about what folks think of him.
How do you know that? Use actual quotes from Parker, other players, or FO members. Not posters on this site.
If the Spurs are heading fora second round exit, I can see the Spurs trying to wheel and deal for another prime time FA or trading for a big name. If Spurs are making it to the finals and losing by a game or end up winning, there is absolutely no reason for the Spurs to pursue Kevin Durant at all.
Spoiled by last offseason imho. ain't gonna happen. We're gonna go back to the tried and true method of +30 y/o's and journeyman foreigners.
And if we lose in the WCF, which is the most likely scenario?![]()
If the Spurs sweep the rest of the playoffs by 30 a game I'd still want Durant.
Yeah, that too.![]()
More like a three headed beast that eats rings for breakfast.
oh yeah? Where'd you that from, his shrink? The Krew? Source please.
Durant has animosity for Kawhi and vice versa, and the Spurs'll still sign him.
Kawhi/LMA/any other Spurs player aren't that relevant to this kind of decision-making, the Spurs should get the best FAs available, they did it with LMA and will with Durant.
