I would give my left nut to have Durant on the Spurs and I'm sure the Spurs are interested. The thing that makes this virtually impossible is the criticism Durant would get for joining a long time rival after being eliminated by them (crossing fingers), and Durant looking like the kind of guy that would care too much about such a thing.
Criticism from who? The OKC media? They already throw him under the bus every chance they get? National media? They want him to go to GSW lol. At the end of the day it's all about his legacy and championships and wherever he has the best chance to do that is where he should go. Winning will silence all criticisms as it did for LeBron. To me it'll come down to the true/strong interest from Spurs..and if the best franchise in all of sports has interest in you if you're Durant you gotta listen. That's when things get really interesting IMO. Because bottom line it's all about being better and beating GSW..OKC wont get good enough this offseason and they'd have to sell on the "plan" and resign Westbrook in the most compe ive FA in league history. No team in the East will compete and you'll gotta deal with LeBron.

Spurs? They can sell on beating GSW now and being the team to beat for next 2-3 years. If you look around the league and have an open mind..Spurs kind of make sense. But tbh I'm not trying to get too excited about it because chasing #6 is main priority

It's been pretty evident from little remarks Parker has made--or, perhaps more importantly, not made--regarding Kawhi. But I would say that this pretty much seals it:

    http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259919

Dude couldn't even let Kawhi have his moment; he had to all over it to tear Kawhi down. And, no, it is not so much a compliment of Tim and Bowen, as it is a back-handed swipe at Kawhi.
    So all you have is:
    • "little remarks" that you can't substantiate
    • things Parker didn't say (???)
    • a completely misconstrued quote

None of those demonstrate any of this animosity that you claim exists.

Dude, there's no chance. None at all. Let's supposse that Durant doesn't care about people saying he picked the easy way out and goes to a contender to have a chance to ring. Why going to SA when he can go to GS and make them virtually unbeatable for the next 6/7 years? One way or another, SA is not a likely scenario for Durant.

P/S: Why do you say no team in the East will compete? I think Durant either stays in OKC or moves East to Washington, Boston or some other team over there.

He could go to GSW but I don't think he does because of Curry. I don't think he goes East because none of those teams will be immediately better than OKC. The only team in the East he can maybe have a chance is Boston. But IMO they'd need to get another player like Griffin or something and make a lot of moves. Wizards aren't a very good team and again aren't better than OKC, Cavs or GSW.

I honestly think Durant is torn about the whole thing. I think you have a point though..nobody wants to be a "bad guy" for leaving his team but is it worth it if you don't ever win a le? LeBron and Aldridge thought it was worth it and it worked out for both.

Saying he wouldn't go to GS because of Curry is like saying he wouldn't go to SA because of Kawhi. And with the Kawhi angle you at least have some public disses to fall on.

Kawhi isn't the 2x MVP and the new face of the league. Durant would for sure be a "Robin" to Curry "Batman"

If he came to SA we can argue for days who's Batman and Robin..

I guess you could make that point, but still pretty far stretched.

    Anyway...Not. Going. To. Happen.

Of course I don't. It's just an extremely educated guess. I'm so sure about this that I wouldn't mind betting real money via internet for the first time in my life.

Why are people comparing Aldridge to Dominos?

Aldridge is a 3rd tier name, he's not a marketed or marquee player, he doesn't have a brand or a legacy to consider..

Durant is a superstar player that will be unfairly judged for joining the Spurs, even more so than Lebron was when he went to Miami..whether he cares or not is anybody's guess, but former star players have made it very clear that it is frowned upon..

You're not a real Spurs fan if you don't believe in their ability to land KD

Chinook didn't think LMA was possible last year. Now he is deflecting per par.

If we don't win this series, he's staying put in OKC. Still think it's more likely he lands in Washington, though.

If we win the Finals... he might want on board.

    LMA=Bosh
KD=LeBron except he would be abandoning WB instead of Mo Williams
