I have no idea why Pop didn't have all 5 players within the 3 point lane. Like WTF Pop.
After SuperKwa sank the game icing fts I knew the only way we could not win was to gift them some idiotic foul or even give the semblance of a foul thus enter ThundeRef.
Did anyone else think West, altho he did not foul Westchuck, did give a slight opening for ThundeRef to burn the Spurs?
Westchuck kicks his leg out, plus West did kind of hit his hand on the follow thru.
Point being there was NO reason to jump anywhere near Westchuck on the final shot.
It's a big LOL now, but at the time did anyone else go no....no...NO!

He actually got fouled on that play. Westbrook kicked his shin for s sake.![]()
I was yes yes yes because Westbrook instead of Durant was shooting.
"Don't get anywhere close to them." He gets close to them.
If it was a 3 pt game they would've ed us didn't matter since it was 4.
Westbrook sold out just to try to draw contact. His odds of actually hitting that shot while contorting enough to try to get a whistle are one in a thousand.
tbh he just need to have the whistle
Then he will hit 2 FT and the 3rd he missed on purpose, grabbed his own rebound and dunk it in
Jamal Crawford disagrees.
Thank God he isn't Westbrook though
That could happen.
With just 2.7 seconds left, and OKC out of timeouts, being anywhere near that shot was stupid. It was unnecessary. The game is won, as long as you don't foul them. But, once again, that's something Pop should have gone over during the timeout. Every player on the team should have known how to handle that possession, so that it was automatic.
No. After that crazy sequence at the end of game 2, no way they give Westbrook a kick out foul.
No westbrook kicked out. If anything flop rule should come into play
Reminded me of the shot he took in Game 6, WCF 2014.
I think better play there is to go for lob at basket and very quick score and foul. Spurs are not fouling a three point shooter (hands up, no contesting). And if going for four point play, why isn't Durant the guy shooting?
Less than 3 seconds, up by 4. Don't even move, just stand still and let them shoot the ball. Time expires either way and there is no chance at some bull foul.
OMG that's pathetic. Asshole should get fined for a flop of that magnitude. Shame he didn't break his ass-bone falling like that. (I would have said coccyx, but didn't want to confuse anyone.)
Still doesn't change the fact that West had no reason to be out there defending that - especially leaving his feet. Nothing good could come of it. Only bad things = stay away from it. We've already seen that getting a bad-call confession from the league doesn't change the outcome. Don't give them the opportunity. And, yeah, it's still on the coaching staff for not having that discussion in the timeout.
Definitely a stupid play. A four point play is the only way OKC would've won. Even running out, had Adams held that screen and sold contract, it could've been a four point play with Westbrook on the three and Adams on the FT.
Had it been a three point game, I'd want the contest. Teams make the mistake of not contesting and altering the shot when it counts, like Ginobili did with Fisher in 04, imo.
