Ed Davis can actually finish at the rim & rebound. He's also not intimidated by Bogut unlike Plumlee.
Letting Clay go off for 18 in the 1st ain't gonna get it done.

Yeah, you are right, they are so damn overmatched, seems lost even to the simplest of single (moving) screens by the Dubs.
True, Lillard defensive weaknesses can only be mitigated by at least pairing him with an elite 3 & D player like pre 2015-2016 DVerde. Don't think CJ & Plumlee trade value is that high, i think executives from serious teams around the league aware about their limitation, can only be traded for similar talents from other rebuilding teams out there i suppose.
Correct on all accounts.
McCollum, falling on his rear, literally.
The kid is nice & the talent is there, but he gets too much credit & hype this season, IMHO.
If Portland wins, do you bring Curry back for game 4? They're a completely different team at home..
If Aminu starts shooting threes at 38%+, he can be a legit 6th to 8th guy for a contender. He already shoots it a high volume and very willingly.
One of those role players that can really have a huge positive impact. Hes played really well the last two post-seasons. Last year he never wanted to take thise threes with Dallas. He might be able to imporve his game in Portland since they encourage him to be aggressive offensively with Portland.
Victor Oladipo is a better pairing w/ Lillard since he a very good defender despite being undersized like Avery Bradley. Payton is a big defensive minded point guard so CJ wouldn't have to guard SGs.
Orlando supposedly wanted to trade Oladipo b/c he isn't a good enough shooter to pair w/ Payton who is Rondo status. A straight swap would make sense for BOTH teams.
Harrison "max player" Barnes![]()
Aminu could be an Ariza type player since he's a better shooter than Ariza at the same point in their career as far as the regular season is concerned.
Barnes getting outplayed by Aminu.
I'm going to keep an eye on Aminus three next year. I kbow he has imporved and hes willing to take those three now. Teams should really keep an eye on his three ball...
Man I really like Aminu. How much he has approved from his days in LA. Really has improved his shooting, and looks like he isn't intimidated by Gaymond.
this wants to be the highest paid Warrior next season![]()
Same thing happened to Monta (although he had a Crabbe type role) in the playoffs after he won the MIP award.
Aminu is much stronger and can legit play the small ball 4 without giving up too much size. Very intriguing. You think Portland is going to keep him next year. If his willingness to take the three is no fluke, i wouldnt be surprised if some teams would offer some picks and player for him. Some ok team that wants to movw up
Aminu isn't going anywhere. Neil Olshey drafted him when he was the Cripples GM & gave him 32 mill after an ordinary season which had people raising their eye-brows.
He ain't going anywhere as long as Olshey remains as the Blazers GM. Aminu was a PF in college & had the highest rebounding rate for SFs when he was w/ the Hornets.
I wanted PATFO to sign him before the Mavs got him dirty cheap but he chose PT over money & it paid off.

McCollum is garbageLilliard has came to play today.
The biggest thing with him this year is that hes not hesitating on the open threes. He can legit be a top 5 small ball 4 if he keeps on being aggressive. Portland has done a terrific job of encouraging him to shoot. Amazing how big of a difference hesitation makes on a player.
Really had no idea. I know he got a decent contract. But im thinking that money is peanuts if he imprives hes already improved three...forgot about his relationhip with oshey. Probaly never get traded
refs generous with these foul calls for Portland
Aminu with another terrific three point shooting game...his three might not be a fluke anymore. I remeber last year he was somewhat tony allen status and Houston wanted him to shoot.![]()
Lowe: I feel like there’s an annual tradition of laughing at the first contract that gets agreed to in free agency. It’s like the Jodie Meeks rule. We should call the first day of free agency the Jodie Meeks day or something. This year it was Al-Farouq Aminu, four years, $30 million or $32M, I don’t have the exact figure off the top of my head, and everyone just laughed. Without leading you anywhere, why is that a good contract? Why should they not be laughing at that contract?
Olshey: If they’re laughing at him, they haven’t seen him play, and they haven’t realized that in two years that cap is going to be $108 million. So you’re basically talking about a deal that will be less than what the mid-level was on the previous cap. This is a guy that I know well. I drafted him. I had him for a year with the Clippers. He’s tracking up. I think his growth was accelerated by playing for Rick Carlisle in Dallas. I think that was like a three year tutorial crammed into nine months. He’s a better player today than he was then.
Portland is an underrated place for HCA, tbh..they get a ton of calls there..
Ariza was a 31% shooter in the regular season when he shot 47% & made FORTY 3s in the '09 playoffs.![]()
Hopefully the Blazers don't get to 3 point happy in the second half like last game when they were up. Take it to the basket, looks like the refs are on your side tonight.
