Tony, Manu, and Tim simply cannot make winning plays against guys 10 or 15 years younger than them.

They are just not good enough anymore. Too many holes in their games. They have been a joy to watch for a long long long time.

Leonard and LMA could not handle the late game situations against the Supersonics.

. The assclowns in mentlahoma may not be around in 2 months and/or 14 months.

LVPorker showing once again why he's one of the biggest postseason choke artists in NBA history. Sadly, his stans will continue to make excuses and blame Kawhi, Manu and/or Pop every time the Spurs lose, no matter how irrational it is.

I see the excuse is that "Kawhi shouldn't have been so passive down the stretch!" Of course, when he does start shooting, then he's a "chucker" and "Kawhobe." Here's an idea: how about the so-called "head of the snake" doesn't shoot 4-12 in a must-win playoff game at home? What happened to "the Spurs go as far as MVParker takes them"?

It's on Kawhi to demand the ing ball. He was number 2 in MVP voting ffs.
Yep. Because we didn't see Kawhi asking for the ball in the 2nd half, right?

He was in the post in two plays and Parker opted to call a play for LMA and other for...surprising...himself.

Also, #2 MVP voting should ask/beg for the ball? Really?

Just on this team. Just with Parker dribble-dribble-hero-ball as teammate.

Way too much common sense for this forum of ass clowns.

People blaming tony when they should be looking at mr "im a max player" leonard shying away from the ball yet again, just like in the Clippers series.
I woudn't say that a player being vocal, and with his arm up, asking for the ball in the post, is shying away from the ball.

I'd say that seems more a ty point guard who isn't willing to pass the ball to that player.

Now put Kawhi on player and Parker on ty point guard.

Parker pissed me off with his ball hogging and dribble dribble shoot bull . He's done, they need to let go of this dude already while he still has some value left. Ball should have been in Leonard's hands in every possession the last 4 minutes. , even Green was a better option to score, he had a great shooting night.

I felt TP made the right reads TBH...he just missed. At least he wasn't scared. They PNR with him and LMA (Pop play call), his guy and the LMA defender stayed with LMA and he had a very good look.

FURTHERMORE, Leonard's passiveness was on full display that one play where he dribbled around screens, got to the key, turned around and gave the ball back to Parker with 4 ing seconds on the shot clock.

WTF was parker supposed to do?

Leonard should have been a man and attacked the rim and gotten some contact. The refs were calling everything at that point, Leonard would have gotten some FTs
Eggs- ing-zackly. I love Kawhi, but when he's not throwing the ball down with authority, he's shying away from a decent look when the team needs a basket the most. If he had a little more killer instinct, he could be unstoppable. But then he might not be the lovable shy guy that he is. Dilemma.

I wonder why Pop called a play for LMA/Tim involving Paker, when all those guys were shooting under .30 FG%...

    Horrible coaching.

parker had 3 assists. that is not okay for a starting PG. one solution in the original post said that he should be a scorer off the bench. his focus should be to score. NOT to try to be chris paul/a game manager.
parker had 5 assists in a game 5. shot 4 for 12. worth $14 million?

    Really?

If only he would get a PG willing to pass him the ball in clutch time...

    Really?
I didn't say he does not throw the ball down with authority when he finishes. He absolutely does. I said "when he is not throwing the ball down with authority." As in, there are some occasions when he is not in the process of dunking the ball. Perhaps he's sleeping, taking a , brushing his teeth, or going into beta mode and passing instead of taking it to the rack or pulling the trigger.

The point is Kawhi exhibits a sort of bi-polar approach to the game. Sometimes he's a freight train that barrels through everyone and absolutely curb-stomps the rim. Other times, he seems unsure of himself, gets uncertain, and dishes the ball when he should pull the trigger or take it to the rack. We need more of the former and less of the latter. OTOH, Kawhi's uncertainty and hesitation is a byproduct of his unselfishness and lovable demeanor so it's a bit of a dilemma for Spurs fans.

    predictable

first step blame the refs, then blame pop and if you are not sure blame Parker

Parker out of LMA and Kawhi was the only one who played on the road, it did not had a good game last night but blaming him for the loss is upper tbh

I really hope these last couple of games show RC that loyalty cannot outweigh the product on the court. Ewing, Olajuwon, Karl Malone, MJ, Peyton Manning, etc.....have all been let go by their teams in one way or another.

TP has been a great Spur, great career but he needs to go if RC can take a buyer tbh.
i'm pretty sure that's the hold-up... either that or i'm giving other GM's way too much credit
