2006 had prime Manu and near prime Tim. No resemblance at all.
-Setting a franchise record for wins then losing homecourt in the second game of the WCSF
-Getting jobbed by the refs
-Close games
-Pop refusing to adjust his rotation despite the opponent feasting on it
-Beta forward (KD/Dirk) & alpha guards (Terry/WestBrick)
-All-NBA forward matchup (Tim/Dirk; KD/Kawhi)
-All-star wingman shrinking (Tony/LMA)
-Washed up vet pickup being atrocious (Van Exel/D-Worst)
-Dependable postseason performer struggling (Tim/Horry)
-Role player on the opposition causing headache (Adams/Josh Howard)
-Bench player making backbreaking plays (Kanter/Stackhouse)
-Young player stepping up (Waiters/Harris)
-Scrub making an unexpected impact (Diop/Foye)
Too bad Softridge didn't keep up his production like Tim did in the 2006 WCSF.![]()

You were like 5 years old then . Get the out of here. So tired of these bandwagon and player fans infiltrating the site.
That Mavs team was MUCH better than this OKC team, and that 2006 Spurs team was 10x better than this year's team. But Pop is screwing the pooch in a similar manner for sure.
Also similar in how pop has gone small with West Diaw and refused to change it like he went small in 06.
OKC makes me want to puke with their "Superstars" shooting 35-40% from the field and getting away with it because they get extra possessions/free throws. via the whistle.
Dummy, I'm talking about the series not the roster.
I'm not saying the current squads are as good as those '06 squad but the current matchup is relatively similar including what has transpired w/ the refs & Pop.
Go kick rocks![]()
