Was mentioned in another thread, but in the two games Cameron Payne played are the two games the Thunder lost. He's since taken Payne out of the lineup completely.

Meanwhile, Poop continues to roll out:

    http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2993874

Notice the game we won (the fluky first game was an anomaly), Fathead only got 3 minutes. Statistically, he's even worse than Payne. Yet Poop will not prune his minutes.

Kawhi needs to play in' 48 minutes next game or Pop needs to stagger the lineup so that Green can move into the 3 and Manu plays the 2 if Kawhi really does need a blow.

Looking closer at how Poop is matching up lineups, I'm becoming more and more convinced this series loss will be 80% on him. You have in' Manu Ginobili and he's only getting 19 minutes tonight?

    "He's old."

Who gives a . Anderson is terrible right now, and an older Manu is much more deserving of those minutes than him. And even though they don't play the same position, Danny's versatility allows for Manu to play more minutes, Kawhi to rest, and for Anderson to never see a minute. Example:

5:39 Manu Ginobili enters the game for Danny Green
You can play out the quarter with Manu here. Kawhi plays 10 first quarter minutes. This is where you sub in Danny at the 3 for Kawhi instead of Fat Head.

Start of the 2nd quarter. TV timeout plus 2 minutes. Kawhi is rested enough. He replaces Danny. Roll with Manu for another 2 or 3 minutes and then sub Danny back in at the ~ 9:00 minute TV timeout mark. Kawhi plays the entire second quarter. Danny finishes the quarter unless he's struggling, in which case you bring Manu back in to see if he can spark a run.

No need for Fat Head. Danny is a good enough Durant defense and actually is an offensive threat.

But here's what Poop does in this game:

5:09 Kyle Anderson enters the game for Kawhi Leonard
What happened? Thunder closed the quarter on an 11-6 run.

Same happened at the end of the 3rd:

3:00 Kyle Anderson enters the game for Kawhi Leonard 64 - 71
Thunder close the quarter on a 5-1 run.

Fat Head absolutely kills the offense anytime he's in.

If Fat Head sees the floor in game 6, Pop has officially lost it. There's no logical reason to play him. None.

But I have a feeling Pop will stubbornly stick to his mechanically planned rotations and blow another series with his nonsense lineups.

Pop doesn't care anymore, otherwise Diaw/West would have stopped getting minutes together since Game 1.

He has coached like a disinterested turd..Many here have been calling his falloff in many areas (I have mentioned in one thread how his Out of Timeout plays have grown stale and unimaginative over the past few years)..

Pretty sad Pop is pulling this dumb ery in Tim last season..

I don't get the commitment to Fat Head? He's averaging 0.8 points on .250 shooting! And he gets 9 minutes this game?

Kawhi needs to play 44 minutes next game. If he needs a rest, just stagger the in' lineup. Also, Green was red hot tonight and he only gets 28 minutes???

Unbelievable. Only coach in history afraid to play his best players big minutes. He blew the '06 series as well by kid gloving Manu.

Also why the is he not throwing K-mart for couple minutes to see if he can hit a in 3 when Patty Trash has proved to be most pathetic brick layer of the series giving nothing on the other end ?

I think he's just hoping Patty can get some of that 2014 magic back for a game.

But yeah, it's re ed. He signed Martin FOR SITUATIONS LIKE THIS, and he doesn't use him

Yep, Cameron Payne has played some of the worst basketball I've ever seen in the playoffs..credit to Donovan for benching him, rather than stubbornly forcing something that isn't working..

He has also benched Ibaka in several key moments, which seemed unlikely and took a lot of balls..

Pop has 1 more game to make major adjustments, or at the very least, make a desperation move..although, last year's Clippers series had 7 games of Pop not adjusting to the same ing play LAC ran all series

I don't get his infatuation with Fat Head. If Kawhi resting is a concern, you stagger Green and Manu.

He doesn't need any time on the court.. He hasn't stopped anything or created anything. But Pop silly ass still won't give Martin mins over Fathead. At least Martin could generate points or get to the line.

It may be possible that Pop made no adjustments because he has no ing clue what to adjust.

Use anyone on the payroll... 7'3 on your bench... Martin the late season pickup over Fathead. Its really that simple.

I don't get it. Are his assistants paying attention? Too chicken to confront him with a suggestion?

The numbers clearly show that Fat Head should not see a minute in this series. He's the Spurs' Cameron Payne, but Donovan was perceptive enough to adjust immediately, while Pop played Anderson 9 minutes tonight. In those 9 minutes, OKC outscored the Spurs by 9. A 1 point per 1 minutes deficit. Prorate over 48 minutes, and the Spurs lose by 48

And even though Duncan has been atrocious offensively, he's strangely treading enough water where the Spurs are still okay with him on the floor. When Anderson is on the floor, the Spurs go to . He's killing the team more than any other player, and he barely gets 5/6 minutes per game

    Great thread mid, tbh.

Can't believe Kyle is getting minutes this late in the playoffs with his useless self. He's NOT a playmaker, he's NOT a scorer, he's NOT a high bball IQ player just because his head is humongous, and he's definitely NOT a good defender.

The only thing this POS does well is rebound and he can't even do that right now. Holy that rebound he didn't go after that was 2 feet infront of him that led to an OKC three was huge.

Get him the out. He doesn't even have Luke Walton potential at this point.

Too bad there isn't an athletic shooting guard with a similar playing style to Dion Waiters on the team someone who brings the juice, as opposed to fat head and his chest shorts

Jordan Clarkson went 35th in that draft

He's exactly what this team needs off the bench right now. But Poop and Co. were likely enamored with Fat Head's "passing ability," "savvy" and length.

Anderson is just more proof that Pop is sad and done.

When Pop watches the tape, in between the heavy lidded waking naps, he probably sees Anderson doing a fine job. , he probably thinks Anderson is incredibly fast and explosive.

I just don't understand when the Spurs are getting destroyed on the boards why Pop doesn't at least try Boban for a few possesions to see if the positives out weigh the negatives? I haven't seen any noticeable adjustments this series.

Pop didnt make a single adjustment against the the clippers 45 set. What makes you think he will? How many times I have said since 2011 that hes been a poor adjustment coach.
