He's been hanging around enough with Porker, if that doens't give you a selfish en led me first at ude I don't know what does.
Not having Manu with the testicle injury messed the bench up big time. They did not get their mojo back.
This bull series is really making me mad. I look and Durant and Westbrook and realize they are nothing but career long losers who cannot function without a huge FT advantage. MBall or ISO ball with continual bail outs is not fun to watch.

Would be more disappointing than 2011's upset. At least the 2011 Spurs flamed out way before the playoffs. This team actually had a higher ceiling and should have had motivation from last year's 7 game series loss. But other than Kawhi and Danny, the rest of the team is just playing like 2014 was enough for them.
Kawhi led teams have zero NBA les
the bench has the bed this series so far more than anything...
- Mills averages 8.5 ppg, this series has scored 3, 5, 3, 4, 4 on 8-22 shooting
- Diaw and West have contributed virtually nothing outside of that one fluke lefty bank shot in game 3
- Manu has had 3 solid games, 2 invisible games, but hasn't had any "ditka" moments
- Anderson has been his usual passive self which is only exacerbated by OKC's aggressive defense, and he's been asked to guard Durant...
unfortunately the bench is what it is, and there isn't much creativity available to pop. what's he supposed to do?
- Play boban? maybe, but that would be a desperation play. maybe it's time for a desperation play, however. theoretically, he can be physical with adams/kanter and not get pushed around like a child the way boris and west have, but Boban is pretty lost as a defender, and most of the time we're seeing West and Diaw asked to switch on pick n roll. How the does Boban fit into that scheme? His recovery to get back to his man in the paint would be disastrous too. The entire defensive gameplan (the defense has actually been solid, by the way) would have to be overhauled to accommodate for Boban, and there's not even a guarantee that he'd be better offensively than Duncan. Yes he's a garbage time superstar, but he also has the knack of bringing the ball down to his waist after catching it, and the Thunder players will furiously strip at it.
tl;dr, boban getting rotation minutes would be a hail mary play that throws our gameplan out the window
- Play Bonner?... he'd probably put up more of a fight than Diaw on the boards, but he's a much worse pick and roll defender and is just as useless offensively given his slow release and inability to do anything with the ball if he's pressured
- Play Simmons?... the most mistake prone player on a team that includes ginobili? no thanks. we've done a good job of containing OKC's offense and a big part of that is to limit transition where they're unstoppable. simmons' careless drives and turnovers would just lead to runouts, and it's not like he's a sound defender in the half court either. and who are you going to play him over? Green/Leonard? no. Anderson for limited stretches? maybe. But i dont think the games have been won and lost in anderson's 5-8 minutes per game this series
Yep. Whoever the eventual champion is, will have a big hairy, misshapen, asterisk by it.
How hard is for Parker fans to admit that he sucked most season and Kawhi was ballin this year?
Judging for this guy-butt hut-posting...it's VERY hard.
you can rest assured that the anti-kawhi crowd is about 99% trolls. greatyacht, koolbob, etc
Spurs can pull off the wins in both games. Spurs missed a lot of easy shots and for the majority of the games, should have been up by twenty. You can't miss gimmes and when you do, you deserve to lose playoff series. Those easy shots need to go in, the refs, they are never gonna be on our side but easy shots need to be made and missed opportunities cannot continue happening. Simple as that. I have faith in this dumb ass team
Oh well, set for life after 5
what do you see playing out in game 6 ol sport'?
Hopefully not the same thing as 2012, old sport
All things considered, it would easily be the most disappointing Duncan-era playoff exit, even worse than 2006..
They are not as good as their record, but it shouldn't be the freakin choke artists from OKC who prevent them from living up to their seed..
The 2nd worst 4th Quarter executing team in the league (after Philly) is sending them packing..Let that sink in![]()

Well, it's not a casualty that most of those trolls are Parker fans.
Not Manu fans, or Danny/Boris/Patty/whoever...just Parker fans. I wonder why.
we'll get em![]()
Boban can't play if WB/KD are on the floor b/c they will pick & roll him to death. In any case, Pop HAS to change his ROTATION:
-Start LMA/West *Ibaka hangs out on the 3 point line D-Worst should be fine*
-Then replace West w/ Tim when Kanter comes off the bench *need both Tim/LMA to limit Adams/Kanter*
....basically, mix & match based on who OKC is playing rather than using a set rotation.
I've no idea why K-Mart is getting burns over Patty. Give him a shot against Foye & see if he can knockdown a timely 3.Play Simmons?... the most mistake prone player on a team that includes ginobili? no thanks. we've done a good job of containing OKC's offense and a big part of that is to limit transition where they're unstoppable. simmons' careless drives and turnovers would just lead to runouts, and it's not like he's a sound defender in the half court either. and who are you going to play him over? True. Too bad we didn't get 6 to be better than kobe
even though patty is a poor ball-handling point guard, he's still a much better dribbler than martin. martin can only be on the floor if he's along side tp/patty/manu
i would like to see more manu/green/kawhi lineups
dumbass armenian takes![]()
It might have been a good idea IMO to mix Kyle with Kawhi. As many steals or deflections as he generates could end up in layups for Kawhi bc he's a nice passer. They played very well together the few times they did in the season. It's probably a spacing issue.
Anyways, Kmart is a better cutter and shooter but he can't defend Durant. Kyle has been credibly good enough that you can spare him a few minutes on Durant if others are scoring, problem is that the bench isn't scoring. Patty is missing, Manu no ditka moments, d west and Diaw have been garbage. Danny is not going to save them when he plays with them but maybe he can hit a 3, keep them afloat. In that case play Kyle with Kawhi and the starters a few minutes or Kawhi with the bench and Kyle and Danny with the starters. Some tweaking could be done. It could be just 3 minutes.
Martin scares me too. Turned he ball over at a 22% rate against the Grizz in garbage time against bad defense! Crazy bad and he tends to Chuck.
The fact that we are actually having the discussion that we are losing this series because a 40 year old Duncan, and a broke down 38 Manu can't pull their weight this series is just sad.
A 40 y.o. has no business being your only savior in the post on D. It's not a knock on the legend TD is, it just speaks to how pop has continued to just ride these same old dudes and never develope anyone else. Thinking how you would be doing better in this series if Manu could just have a solid 8-10 point game is crazy.
How many years has pop left young fresh legs on the bench? Sure they make mistakes, but the have something you old guys don't have anymore and that's relentless hustle / energy. Sometimes that can change a series or even just a game. That's one thing Phil understood. Sometimes you have to get away from your playbook and try something that wasn't in the script because you need a lift. He didn't put players in the doghouse and bury them on the bench every time they were 3 ft out of position. He gave them the belief that they could come in and really help the team when called upon, even if it's was just for 5 minutes in a PO game.
Manu TP Duncan are the exception to the not playing young guys rule because in their prime, they were studs, just as Kawhi is now. You're gonna get have those anchor guys. But it's the other guys he hasn't developed for .
I'm mean Diaw old, west old, Duncan old, TP old, Manu old, etc., and those guys are still being relied on heavily to deliver in the POs. Pop has never trusted young guys in his career. His absolute fear of their mistakes make him overplay the old guys.
You have Duncan, TP, West, all well past their primes, in the game at the same time trying to compete in a must have game 5 at home of the playoffs with KD, WB, Canter, Adams, Waiters, all dudes under 30 running circles around them. he's had 82 guys to incorporate young legs into the rotation. Instead just he uses them as guys to eat minutes on back to backs to save his old guys. He's always continues to sign old vets, old vets, and more old vets.
I still believe they can pull off the series. But the odds are not in their favor, and they aren't gonna get younger overnight, so Kawhi and Aldrige need to be supermen out there.
K-Mart can play along side Manu when Pop trots out the stupid Diaw/West/Kyle/Manu/Patty lineup.
yeah, like i said "alongside tp/patty/manu"
that's just so awful defensively, though
Patty is shooting 22% so just camp K-Mart at the corner & use him as a spot up shooter like Randy Foye.
