When did we trail in '14?
We've trailed in a series. Here's to hoping we come out the same way we did in Game 3, and force a Game 7.
It's easy to say it's over and we have no shot. But it almost feels like aside from the horrid officiating last night, the game was lost do to our own doing. Starting slow, not hustling for rebounds/loose balls, and missing some great looks. Yes rebounding will be an issue, but despite that huge edge, it was a 1 possession game late. There are other things we can do better.
Not ready to give up just yet
When did we trail in '14?
After game 3 against the Mavs Spurs trailed 1-2.
Hm, yeah. True, I forgot about that.
2014 trailed 1-2 vs Mavs
2007 trailed 0-1 vs Nuggets
2005 trailed 0-1 vs Nuggets
2003 trailed 0-1 vs Suns
they weren't elimination games you forgot 2008 Vs New Orleans Hornets they were down 3-2 and won that series
Totally different from losing the first game of a series to go on to win. OKC were down both 1-0 and 2-1. If the Spurs win this series it'd be a far bigger accomplishment than NOLA and possibly the greatest playoff comeback in the Spurs history.
Robert Horry ain't walking through that door
Yea I was just specifically pointing it out in the years we won it all.
We haven't really had any adversity this year. We were pretty much the #2 seed all year, didn't have any "must win" games down the stretch. It's time to see what our guys are made of
Dude, we're down 3-2 going to OKC. Apples to oranges...
You're probably right... But I think we can at least agree that we kinda shot ourselves in the foot with our execution and shooting yesterday? It's not like they're coming out and destroying us. Not to mention the 2 calls that are being headlined, as yet AGAIN the refs played a major factor.
We've kept them under 100 points all but 1 game, and that was the game they needed to win. Our guys can still come out with the focus and intensity to get this thing back to SA
Another fun fact is that the Spurs have lost a series in every year they didn't win the le during the Duncan era.
We already saw what they're made of, which is the reason the series is 2-3 and pretty much over.
Game 5 was not a fluke or an off night. It's the story of the series after game 1.
This is OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVA!!!!
To my knowledge, the Spurs have never come back in a series trailing 3-2 in the best of seven. Once they choke, they're done.
Uhhh Hornets series in 2008?
it ain't over til it's over...but when you have pop not making adjustments and using that ty lineup of mills/gino/kyle/diaw/west, especially in a pivotal game 5, it's pretty much over.
Ah yes, however they exploited a young New Orleans team that wasn't quite ready to take that next step. Back then, they were also led by two true leaders on and off the court that could still carry the team. Unfortunately, this team is leaderless.
Yep. You just can't scratch your head and stick your tongue out of the side of your mouth and expect people to follow you. You have to be sort of vocal right?
Can we get that year's version of David West?
what a massive storm that lineup was. Donovan is completely dominating the supposed greatest coach of all time
Eh. Aldridge missing all those easy open shots is a bit fluky
