One of my favorite Duncan Blocks
Another great block
And in the midst of a current screw job, lets look back at one of screwiest of them all
NOTHING BUT TIM DUNCAN TALK
There is a VERY realistic chance that Thursday, May 12 will be the last time Tim Duncan puts on a Spurs uniform.
I want to dedicate a farewell type thread for him while he's still playing because for one, he deserves it, but two since he won't announce anything and allow us to say farewell, we need to do it on our own, and its pretty much a guessing game on when his last game will be.
Obviously I want the Spurs to win game 6 and maybe he ends up playing another year. But just in case we don't and he doesn't, lets do him justice.
Enjoy every minute he's on the court for Game 6.
Post your favorite images, videos, moments of him. If you have any personal pictures of when you met him, post those.
I have some pictures of when they had the Inaguration Pep rally in front of the Alamo in 1997 for him, but their at home and I'll post them later.
As far as Game 6 goes, I feel like i've been saying this every game but I'm going to say it again, I hope he has a little bit left in him to help will this team to win game 6. Whether its through Hustle plays or through rebounding, or even scoring I don't care. I hope he makes this farewell thread last a while before we truly say farewell.

I'm not saying farewell until Duncan does.
The best franchise player to EVER play the game. There can be another Jordan or kobe but there can never be another DUNCAN. He's a great basketball player but the most I admire about him is his sportsmanship, leadership, team first approach.. man I can go on and on. I just wanna say THANK YOU TIMMY..![]()
TIM DUNCAN
Which he probably won't do until 2 or 3 weeks after the end of a season.
I guess I just wanted something for him while hes still playing instead of after the fact. That way there may be more appreciation for him (if possible) every minute he's on the court in game 6.
And theres no way to guess when it will be over because Spurs might win game 6 and maybe he decides to come back next year. But based on the way he's looked and the way the Spurs have looked, Thursday may very well be his last.
But I guess I understand those who don't want to post anything because he hasn't announced anything.
Either way i'll post other pictures and videos throughout the day for anyone who cares to enjoy them![]()
Absolutely! Not knocking what you're doing at all. I'm just not ready to let go yet.![]()
Duncan Blocks Westbrook last night, then Pop takes him out lol
Felt like it had been forever since seeing a Dunk from Timmy
the greatest to play the game- was a big inspiration to me, esp watching from afar in cali.
"good, better, best. never let it rest, until your good is better, and your better, best" - i live by that quote
David Robinson is the greatest Spur....
Love Admiral, but GTFO
The Admiral was largely responsible for getting TIM here and when you factor everything David has done for SA after his career...yeah, not even close...
Thank you so much Tim Duncan.. You have touched so many hearts and we all here no matter what, will always support you. To us, you are the greatest, no matter what.
You know, I think I saw Duncan acting pissed off on the bench when he was removed and Adams got a dunk on the next play. Then Pop put him right back in.Tim finally asserting himself in his last games ever...
You definitely did - he gave Pop "the stare" - he was obviously very mad.
Greatest power forward of all time
Tim got David 2 rings and lol at not even close when Tim is top 10 all times. I love
David but like he said gtfoh....
Btw David got hurt all year so Tim got drafted, you think he planned that to get Tim???
Are you talking him flying to Orlando to talk Tim in to staying or the draft??
1997 to 2016, 19 years of magnificence by Tim Duncan, we are spoiled!
More...........................
Good thread OP!
Duncan is my favorite Spur, even over Manu and DRob. We all have been privileged to watch him play.
Robinson may mean more to the city of San Antonio (as a citizen), presently, but without Duncan the team would be 5 NBA championships short and probably in Oklahoma City (or elsewhere) by now.
I love David Robinson, but he isn't touching Duncan at all.
And how the did Robinson "help him get here?" Do your mean by intentionally ruining his own back and shortening his career?!?!?!?! Okay, buddy.....
Salutations to you Mr Tim Duncan. Thank you for carrying the torch from Gervin and Robinson. You are a true legend sir.
This makes me wanna cry... I wasnt a fan of Duncan at 1st. I was just a Ginobili fan. Then I started watching all the Spurs. Talking about dependable, faithful, loyalty, no complaining to the FO, Classy, etc. There's a big picture of Duncan. The end of a great era
