they don't want Durant to leave OKC.........that is why all those stories about coming to San Antonio came out. It was BS. They just don't want him to go anywhere....and it leveraged the NBA to give OKC at least this series. You don't think the NBA is rigged....a first year coach defeats a 20 years legend....c'mon.

I don't know why Parker decided to take the hero shots down the stretch but he really cost the spurs this game and this series. He cannot run the offense anymore. That is the main reason the spurs are struggling. Parker and Manu aren't driving and kicking anymore because they can't run past anyone off the dribble. Age is also now a big factor: the spurs only get 1 day off in between games and they just look exhausted while OKC is young and can handle heavy minutes.
If the spurs don't change their roster next year they will not go far in the playoffs let alone be a contender. They need to go young, replace their pg's and get a defensive wing who can shoot threes. Kawhi and LMA can't carry them it's too much of a burden. We saw this last year against the Clippers. They can't cover up their deficiencies anymore. In the regular season, they were beating up on bad teams and now that they are up against the elite OKC they can't even crack 100 points a game. What's worse is Pop is going down with the ship. He won't play Boban, Simmons or Martin. He won't make any adjustments and it's already too late. Thunder are going to advance.

It really seems pretty simple: Not keeping OKC off the offensive glass and not being able to buy a bucket down the stretch (actually, there were several droughts throughout the game) sank the Spurs in this game. Sure, Durant and especially Westbrook had good games, but they also made their fair share of mistakes and turned the ball over almost twice as often as all of the Spurs' players combined. It also wasn't really a case of one of their role players going off à la Ibaka in 2012.
That's what makes this loss so disappointing: The Thunder were good, but certainly not great. The Spurs just didn't have what it would have taken to put them away.
