Actually it's going to be just the opposite. Game 6 will be worse than all the other games combined. You just watch.
Yep. Ala Game 6 2012. Still remember Jackson getting a bull technical for something Westbrook does all the time.

So this is basically another the NBA is rigged, etc, thread. Sometimes you have to question it, especially this series. Actually the Spurs/Warriors WCF would get better ratings for the NBA than an Warriors/Thunder WCF.
    better ratings?

    no way

It's not rigged. It's just a symptom of the poor level of officiating in the NBA right now.

I have absolutely no issues with the majority of calls OKC gets (except for the blown calls at the end). I have a problem with the officials being wildly inconsistent & SA not getting the same calls as OKC when they occur. SA is living in the paint. They are banging. They deserve the calls too.

True the Spurs kept it close due to lack of rebounding, but when it has been close they make the final call which has been several clearly blatant misses while they are looking at the play. Setting aside some of the horrific calling during the play, when they didn't call the foul at the end on Leonard, they called it on Aldridge after Westbrook initiated contact and didn't even really touch him. Rigging may not be the best word but like DPG there is no consistency in calling. We will see how tomorrow plays out though...

That's not poor officiating when its a trend that has lasted for years...

We had an 18 pt lead in the second quarter of that Game. Refs put an end to that quickly.

The NBA is all about the dollars and revenue. I'm not saying the Spurs will win this series, NBA clearly wants a OKC/Dubs matchup, but they will ensure we get to a game 7.
So the NBA wants a four game series instead of a five game series? Okay

The NBA would love to see Durant/Westbrook in the western conference finals again before Durant's decision

This is possibly the worst reffing I've seen in a series but why are the Spurs not going off to the media? Even Stephen A Smith was talking about how the NBA is letting down their fans today.

With that said, the Spurs are capable of winning this series and it shouldn't even have come down to the refs influence. Those of you expecting an unfair game in the Spurs favor are going to be let down in about 30 hrs.

I had though about this, GSW and SAS are two ans that people have been waiting to see. OKC has star power but a 67 win and a 73 win team meeting in the conference finals is historic.

If the league does do some sketchy , then this theory makes the most sense.

Captain making love to pressure per par.

The final four games in that series was something like 15-22 from 3pt.

    No they ing won't

    1) NBA's worst case scenario is a Spurs vs Cavs rematch, low ratings
    2) NBA wants to knock out the Spurs because they are GSW's biggest threat
    3) NBA wants an OKC vs GSW conference finals because their regular season games were high scoring, no defense, hero ball games. Compared to a low pace, defensive, Spurs matchup.

So the Spurs should have to play near perfect every game to get a win and OKC should only need to play well to win. Sounds legit lol. Refs make our margin for error slim as , that is a huge advantage for OKC.
This is what has always driven me nuts during the whole entire Duncan era. It seems like whenever the Spurs beat a team with big name stars they have to not just be slightly better but better by a huge margin to make sure the refs can't screw the game up with phantom calls. When the Spurs beat the Lakers in '03 and Miami in '14 they were on another level and it wasn't even close enough for the refs to up the outcomes. I think what also hurts the Spurs is they have never had a superstar player that was a larger than life figure on the level of being an A list celebrity which hurts them in the respect department with the refs. For example Kawhi is a better player than Westbrook but Westbrook gets more respect from the refs when it comes to getting calls than Kawhi does and I feel that has to do psychologically with them viewing Westbrook like a celebrity whereas Kawhi comes across as a commoner.

Don't see that happening at all. Spurs keep settling for jump shots while okc attacks the rim ad-infinitum.

Unreal. Someone mentioned that exact play on realgm, I must've walked away when they showed that angle.

that ing chimp gets away with whatever he wants out there.

same happened in 2012, Kawhi secured a key rebound in game 6 iirc, Chimpbrook nailed him over the back of the head (directly in front of the ref) so he coughed up the ball, out of bounds and thunderef ball. This series might actually be worse than 2012, it's just the bull is more spread out.

At halftime Spurs led 30-14 (or so) in points in the paint, yet had a quarter of the FTs OKC had.
mostly from Kawhi who we all know gets disrespected by the officials for some reason

Man, i can't imagine how i would feel if the Spurs have an 18pt lead in game 6 tomorrow like they did in 2012 but only to lose it.

No, sir. The Spurs are the "boring" team that your dad likes. OKC and the Warriors are the hot teams with the younger generations and the NBA is trying to appeal to a younger audience these days. The Warriors might as well be branded the "Official franchise of the Millennial generation." And Durestbrook is not far behind. Just look at the bull they wear to their post-game pressers and their ambiguously gay (NTTAWWT) way of doing their post-games together.

Refs reward OKC because they attack. most of the Spurs just shoot jumpers it seems like. the only players who generate FTs are LMA and Kawhi who is consistently disrespected by the officials. but still if spurs attacked the rim more theyd get more calls
    This.
