Kiwi's improvement continues to be scary. The Kobe experiment is going to be interesting.

This was spot on!!! Some people just aren't ever satisfied........not even with the guy who made himself into a superstar almost over nightHe has no ceiling with that work ethic!
I just wonder where this team would be without Kawhi...
Swept -- at least, in this series
Why don't you put Kawhi's 4th quarter of game 5 into perspective.
Serious question....if kawhi can't be a superior defender while being a main offense guy....
How do we plan our offense when we know Kawhi won't be there?
I mean do we coach him...go easy on defense? Okay Kyle 20m? Or make him a spot up shooter?
Whether I totally agree with your takes or not, I make it a point to read them. You have a great memory and you also do great research. This post was terrific.
My hope is that we can reload with some guys next season who can shoot the 3-ball and move the ball with effective passes to get us out of the iso-ball malaise of this season.
kl going after loose ball tbh
What do you mean by he won't be there: 23/7/3/2 (12 TOs / FG: 48% / TS: 55%)
The issue is that he is going to tire out by the 4th quarter if he has to guard an elite scorer every time he's on the floor so you can't expect him to carry you during crunch time. KG had Pierce/Ray Allen who took over in the 4th quarter, Kawhi had Softridge & Porker.![]()
Folks act like Pippen didn't go from winning 3 straight chips to getting bounced in the 2nd rd when Jorn retired. Then Jordan returned in '95 & they lost to the Magic (OKC of the 90s) in the 2nd rd w/ Pippen shooting 40% while matched up against Penny (most athletic PG of the 90s).![]()
WAAAHHHHHHH i need more help WAAAHHHHHHHHHH
Trade
Pretty much says it all about your argument. EVERY OTHER NBA FRANCHISE PLAYS THEIR PLAYERS. Yet, only one player, your favorite, can use the excuse that he is too tired? W..... T......F......? Westbrook has an engine that runs about a million times faster and harder than KL every game. He's asked to do A TON more. LeBron. Wade. Those three are their team's best athlete, like KL, but they all have significantly better all around games and are significantly less afraid of taking it to the rim. Only LBJ es as much as KL and his fans.
WestBrick shot 37% while guarding Porker or simply ball-hawking.
Why do you think LeBron doesn't play D until the 4th quarter & Wade would rather freelance rather than chase shooters around the court.
Had Kawhi gotten destroyed 48 to 15 by WestBrick like Kirby did in the 2001 Finals then you would have a point but he essentially outplayed his matchup when you consider BOTH sides of the court. Kawhi murked Barnes & Mr. All-NBA 1st Team (Tony Allen aka the best defender Kirby has faced) when he was able to cruise on defense like Durant did for the majority of the series.
Besides, he outplayed Durant in the 4th quarter of Gm 3/5 & Gm 1/6 were blowouts thus Kawhi won TWO 4th quarter & KD won TWO 4th quarter so they are even but nobody talks about it b/c WestBrick bailed out KD in Gm 5 while Porker completely choked.

Actually, he's helping out a teammate who is incapable of guarding his counterpart.
[QUOTE=Dro210;8589181]I think Kawhi ed throlden's wife and made him watch, tbh tbh

The real irony is the people who badmouth David Robinson to prop Kawhi up, but then use the "he needs more help" excuse in this thread. This Spurs team was so much more stacked than any of those 90s squads, yet people still blame David for not leading us to a le. Kawhi then deserves as much blame or more. He's the star. Comes with the territory.
I definitely agree with you. I think the people who mainly bash David to build up Kawhi are young bandwagon fans who didn't get to watch David play. To them he's an irrelevant historical figure. They have to bash David because they missed out on seeing him play and they have to say Kawhi is going to carry Duncan's torch to make up for the fact they missed out on most of Tim's career.
David was 30 times the player KL is.
Agreed David was the reason as a kid I became a Spurs fan way back in March of 1994 after watching him light up a young Shaq.
Who's badmouthing DRob?
DRob and Tim were both obvious #1 draft picks. People shouldn't be comparing apples and oranges.
If Kawhi is a "star", it's because he worked hard to become great. No one had those expectations from day 1.
It was a team loss to be sure. But Kawhi needs to learn how to take over on offense if he wants to be MVP.
ing Parker; ing over the Spurs since....
