    Yes. Spurs can match.
They can but, why the would they? The Spurs don't need any distractions and he's nothing more than a sideshow attraction.

I love the zealous hatred of Anderson here when people are lobbying the Spurs to draft late first round players a calendar year older than KA in the Think Tank. Statistically speaking, if his improvement from year 2 to year 3 equals that from year 1 to year 2, he will be the best player off the bench and a starting-caliber player on an average team.

But he sucked against KD at 22 so trade him for a bag of chips.
Never mind the troll which Kiko is. Props to you for calling him out I ignore him at this point bc it's tiring.

Well it depends on what Tim/Manu do obviously. I will just operate under the assumption they are both gone.

I think the SL core of DG/KL/LMA is damn good and one of the tops in the West. If Tim leaves, I think the priority is finding a solid replacement that can fit within the defensive system but also bring more scoring than Tim. In this case, someone like Pau seems like an awesome fit. The SL all year as a juggernaut defensively but the scoring burden was heavy on two players. Adding a legit 3rd scoring option to the SL would go a long way to helping that problem so IMO, adding a decent scoring big to the SL is the top priority.

Second was the PG play. It was up and down and with TP playing well the overall offense was still top 5 in the league. But it was not consistent enough. The 1B priority would be to find another starting level PG that can space the floor and hopefully drive/kick/create. It's easier said than done obviously, but that should be a priority.

The third and also big focus should be improving the bench. If TP stays and is moved to the bench, that definitely helps the bench unit. TP going against benches with his ability to run a unit, protect the ball and compete on defense would be big. So that alone helps. But Spurs need some more shooters and versatility like others have mentioned. Especially at the wings. Adding some decent wing shooter/defenders for the bench would be big and hopefully this draft and some of FA can be used to bolster the bench.
These a solid plan you have there.I wish Bertans was playable. It's hard to say rookie season so . I am hoping Simmons can play and make the roster next season. I also hope we pick up someone in the draft. But another rookie, so again I am hoping for improvements from Anderson too. He improved from season one to 2, he's still young enough to be better next season. That's the beginning. With a group like that you could have TD and Manu back in supportive roles, but someone mentioned all the discipline they require at this stage I n their lives to be in elite playing shape and it's probably not worth it just to coach train and assist these guys. We shall see.

Kiko is the anti-SAGirl. ty takes and an irrational hatred for Kyle Anderson.
I love Anderson but I don't have ty takes, nor is everything I post about him. Big misconception. Apparently ppl assume that even if I don't mention him so.... lol whatever.

I meant that your takes are not ty and that Kiko's are, and that you have an irrational love for Kyle Anderson. Nothing wrong with that last bit btw.

Whoever they get, he should be kept on the bench and not played during a close playoff series.

If we get motivated Pop this upcoming season, I can see him poaching Drummond if the NBA sets some anti-hack rule.

A big mobile defender at center is a priority. If he can Score some points would be a blessing. Boban isn't mobile enough for the high PNR but can be a great backup for a season or two. I dont think LMA would accept the change to Center after being told he'd continue as a PF.
I think Boban can be a starter in a Dejuan Blair role. 20-25 mpg. If he can be kept close to the basket then he can have a impact.

The starting lineup already has an elite scoring big. They need a quality rim protector/defensive rebounder/screen setter/roll man, that can catch and finish. Not someone you throw the ball to and feature.

If Gasol wants to come, he has to know that that's his role on this team and I think he will. I think he's at the point West was at year ago: No longer consumed with proving he can still be a featured player, sick of being in an environment embroiled in turmoil, just wants to be in a professional environment where he has a chance at a championship. I also think he's always liked the idea of being a Spur, but the timing/fit never lined up until now.

Parker isn't being moved to the bench. This notion of adding a clear cut starter is a pipe dream. The best that can be hoped for is finding a backup that can push him.

Stretch four is far less talked about, but it has to be a major priority. You can't get 25 threes from that role (28 total from the big rotation and 43 total from all bigs), in today's NBA.

SA doesn't need another LMA. They just need a big that can finish on the roll/around the rim & hopefully someone that has a jump shot out to 18 feet. All season long, Kawhi/LMA had to carry a major burden offensively and adding another scoring option (doesn't have to be at level of LMA) I think would be great.
