Mick Jenkins-Jazz
New Kendrick just dropped out of no where, 'Un led, Unmastered'. Available on all streaming services. So good.
new
This has been my go to instrumental album lately. If you are a fan of RJD2 this is right up your alley.

Chance's new album is really good
Agreed. Didn't like it much at first, but it's grown on me a lot. He got outshines by every feature tho![]()
What do you make of Views? I think it's a solid album tbh
I actually like it quite a bit, even though it's a little underwhelming. The only songs I skip are Redemption(the last minute is good but the song is unnecessarily long imo)and Hotline Bling.
Now, if someone came up to me and told me Views was garbage, I wouldn't argue with them. Drake didn't try anything new on Views, sans the couple dancehall-ish tracks(wanted more tbh), so we basically got more of the same. His singy songs were ok, not as good as on previous albums like Crew Love, Marvins Room, or Come Thru.
His rapping was by far his worst on any of his projects imo. On every song he had at least one or two just cringe ass lines. I'd say Weston Road Flows was his best rap song on here, if you ignore the Earth Day bar, he had a lot of fuego bars on there. But WRF pales in comparison to songs like Tuscan Leather, Furthest Thing, Lord Knows, etc...
Hype(one of my favs) and Views are his other "rap" songs, and they're alright, but nothing special bars wise. Nothing that will make you pause and rewind. Coming off a year where he dropped IYR L and WATTBA, I think a lot of people got their expectations up, and Drake didn't even come with WATTBA tier bars.
His subject matter was also cringier than usual lol songs about arguing at cheesecake, hiding the keys from his girl, group DMing his exes(that line came after a DMX sample LOL)...
Nonetheless, I enjoy the album. Hype, Grammys, and Still Here are lit, the dance hall tracks are fun and will get play all summer obviously, the dvsn feature at the end of faithful is a highlight of the album(Speaking of Faithful, ing lol @ that disrespectful Pimp C sample)... Fire & Desire is smooth too, almost forgot about it. Really cohesive album tbh
Favorite track so far:
Bonus - this track didn't make the album because the samples didn't clear in time:
The best songs never make the album, would've been top 3 tbh
STS-here tonight feat Tony Williams
Song brings me back to the late 90's/early 2000' ATL vibe
