I know that they won't do anything to Briles but I still can't picture him answering rape questions during media day.
I don't see Briles being fired either.
FWIW, Feldman said today he doesn't think Briles has a job by the time Big XII Media Days arrive.
EJ Holland's VIP notes 24/7:
had an opportunity to spend most of the day with Houston Bellaire Episcopal defensive tackle Marvin Wilson and offensive tackle Walker Little. Here are some key takeaways on each prospect.
Marvin Wilson
Wilson stayed after school to get some extra work in the weight room, where he currently benches 375 and squats 475. The five-star prospect is working hard to improve those numbers this summer. Wilson, however, did not lift today. Instead he worked on explosion drills with medicine balls and plyometrics. It was extremely impressive to see a 330-pound monster jump the way he did this afternoon. As far as recruiting goes, Wilson will visit Oklahoma on June 4. That is the only visit he has planned. He also hopes to see Florida State, Florida, USC, Texas and a handful of others this summer. Alabama and Florida State seem to be at the top of his list, but I would put Texas third with LSU, Ole Miss, OU and Texas A&M heavily in the mix as well. Wilson said Texas is definitely ahead of A&M as far as in-state schools go. He will release a Top 10 this summer and make a final decision on National Signing Day.
Walker Little
Little had a skill specific workout elsewhere, so I didn't get to see him going through any drills. However, I did meet with Little and his parents at their home and spent a couple of hours there. The family just visited Stanford a few days ago and said they had a wonderful time in Palo Alto. In my opinion, Stanford, Ole Miss and Texas are the teams to beat here. The family loves Texas and Charlie Strong and is fond of new offensive line coach Matt Mattox. The biggest thing they want to see is Texas win games on the field. Little said he might visit UT again for Under The Lights in July. He also plans to visit Florida, Florida State, Auburn and a handful of others this spring. Little does not want to make a decision until some time during his senior season.
Orangebloods:
There's been a lot of talk about 2016 signee Erick Fowler's status as the incoming freshman class gets ready to report, and I was able to catch up with the five-star linebacker this week for a quick update.
In talking to Fowler, he's still hopeful that he'll be enrolling for the first UT summer session, but he hasn't been fully cleared yet. Fowler took the SAT earlier this month. He's not sure when he'll get his scores in, but If he gets the necessary mark he plans to enroll with the majority of the incoming freshmen. If not, he'll have to re-take the test in June and enroll later.
So at this point, it's just a matter of Fowler's SAT score. He said he does not have any other high school classes he'll need to take.
"I'm graduating June 2nd," Fowler said. "I'm walking the stage and everything."
The 6-3, 235-pound standout is understandably anxious to get his results and he's ready to get started on his college career.
"Man, my nerves haven't been right," Fowler said. "I'm ready to throw some pads on. I just have to get back in top shape."
Speaking of workouts, Fowler has been doing CrossFit to stay in shape. He actually started CrossFit when he was a freshman after suffering a knee injury. He told me this week that he's been so focused on school that his workouts have slipped a bit, but he's planning to get back into his routine in order to get ready for life as a Longhorn.
As for how he feels about the recent test ...
"I feel pretty good," Fowler said.
We'll keep you all posted on Fowler's status. (Suchomel)

That's the laziest prediction I've ever seen by someone in the business.
I hadn't got around to reading that one yet, but that was pretty blah.
Anxious to see where DE Ondario Robinson fits in since Carson may move inside and Graham should be committing on May 27th.
Hope he camps in June or at least gets back on campus.
He told 24/7 he's now on the same page with the UT coaches and he's not upset about the lack of communication.
Inside Texas saying Strong should be adding an offensive quality control coach to his staff this summer.
The new coach will supposedly be familiar with Gilbert's system and it's an extra set of eyes on the offense.
ATH Montrell Estell of Hooks has committed to Texas. Great get!
Orangebloods is saying he's coming in as a safety, not a wide receiver.
Boom!!! That's what I wanted to hear.
That's pretty big to get him as as DB.
