so curry not hurt anymore??
GSW bench was a huge factor tonight. Speight's 3 point plays were momentum killers for OKC.
Winner of Game 6 takes the series. All there is to it. Do or die.
Where is thunder pup today? surely losing one game does not mean his team is done. Front runners gonna do what a front runner got to do i guess
Actually I get everything you posted and sympathize with all of it except that this OKC team has grown on me through the play of their roleplayers.
You just get a feeling for a team sometimes, even if you don't like them that it's their season. Last season GSW had the perfect storm of injuries to teams they faced and credit to them they capitalized.
This season it looks like OKC found another gear that goes beyond their two stars. Sure they need Russ to play well and not TO 11 times and get other guys shots and they need Durant to be making his assassin shots to break opponents down, but they have come together as a team. When that happens it looks special.
While GSW is a great team as well with very good roleplayers all their guys are unlikable as you said. Even their roleplayers are assholes. Frankly I only really like Livingston. He's really good at what he does and as you say he's been a journeyman and overcome injuries and somehow isn't stained by arrogance like the others.
Yup. OKC has been surprising because their bench (outside of Kanter) came out of no where. But tonight, they got nothing from anyone except Morrow but he didn't play enough to make a huge impact.
I think GS bench was +18 bench points. OKC needs that because WB/KD carry such a big offensive load.
I mean, at least GS has won it all. OKC have been arrogant for years with nothing to show for it. But I'll guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
WowBilly just went full on Scott Brooks with the "we are a FT shooting team".
He said that he didn't understand the FT disparity and that they are a team that gets there at a high rate and he believes FT's were the difference in the game.
So OKC gets a FT advantage in nearly every single game and now he blames FT's and says that? What about a team like SA that "is a team that doesn't foul often" and yet got a big FT disparity?
This is crazy.
Livingston/Speight outplayed Waiters/Kanter but that should change in OKC.
There is going to be a FT disparity when you're INTENTIONALLY fouling & committing dumb fouls like Roberson.![]()
Book it?
Arrogance is arrogance. GS beats OKC in the arrogance department which is saying something since OKC has been arrogant for years like you said.
Chris is way worse....his rhythm on commentating is just off at all times.
Webber is just terrible.
kerr looks too old for this for a sop re coach...with his back issues, i don't think he lasts in the NBA for too long..I wouldn't be surprised if Golden State is his only stop..
Great call out. Thats what it is a lack of timing ...
I said he sux as a game analyst, in the studio he is fine ...
I couldnt figure out why but you are right ...
I guess timing has always been his issue going back to Michigan, lol
No one on GS said he was hurt, it was the media saying that. After game 3 Kerr said Steph was fine.
There was no chance that OKC would have won this one tonight. I don't think anybody expected them to wrap it up on the road — GSW wasn't going down in 5 with HCA.
I'd still favor them in game 6 at home — I think the crowd, their length, and athleticism will be the death knell of GSW.
At least Billy has the balls to speak up so that his team won't be disadvantaged by the refs' whistles.
Pop just assumes his foetal position.
This, it worked for him after Game 3 when he said the same thing when Durant only attempted a few free throws. And look, they got all the calls in Games 4 and 5.
Maybe if Pop wasn't a soft pussy and actually said something about how the officials are crooked then we would be in the WCF. But no, Pop is classyBasketball is just a game, life goes on
He has to be cool and not ruffle feathers
All-time great pussy
Pop has done great things for us but he is weak and doesn't have a killer instinct like Phil Jackson did, Phil knew when and how to manipulate a series in his favor. Pop just sits by and lets happen. Its disgraceful to watch.
OKC opens -2
Wow, really. Vegas must be trying to manipulate the line, no way can anyone outside of the bay area can truly think that after 5 games.
But I do hope for a game 7 ...
