    quote:
A humiliating defeat needs a scapegoat, and Love walks around these days with a wide target on his back. If changes are demanded this offseason, Love will be the asset pushed in trades needed to make them. As one league executive told The Vertical, “If they go out like this, I’m betting on a Kevin Love auction.”

Kyrie's the one that should be traded but LeBron isn't smart enough as a GM to realize this

Kyrie at least has the potential to become a good two-way player; he just has to start giving a about playing both ends. I'm well-aware of Kyrie's shortcomings but there is no subs ute for his type of scoring ability and he still has untapped potential.

Kevin Love on the other end will never be a good two-way player, even if he wants to be. In this series he looks like a 20th-century player going up against a 21st-century opponent. He is who he is. They're probably going to get rid of one of those two; I'd unload Love.

He should have gone to the Lakers. He still wouldn't have won a championship but atleast he would have been able to enjoy LA. Now he's stuck playing in a hole and will probably get traded to another hole.

I wouldn't be so sure. Kyrie, when left on his own wasn't even a playoff threat in the East. Sure his teams were bad, but damn. Love, in the West, at least took some pride in trying to win and dragged very below average MIN teams to a hope of the playoffs in a loaded West.

If Kyries calling card is offense where the has his offense been this finals?

-Our- people would have ate him alive. We take our direction from ESPN/Media just like every other asshole in the line, ie,,,Swaggy P. As awful as that pile of was he was never cast down by local/national Media. Never. He was propped up and sustained.

They'd have sold Love out, good, or, bad, would've made nary difference.

You could be right but it's hard to say which way they would have turned. They could have lynched him like you said or they could have made excuses for him not winning by saying "Love needs more help."

I guess you could say Solo Love > Solo Kyrie, but it's like arguing over who's the smartest kid in summer school. Most of Love's Minnesota teams wouldn't have sniffed the playoffs in the East, either. Neither of them are capable of carrying a team into contention, that's pretty well established. If you ask which one the Cavaliers should unload, I've got to pick one. I'd keep Kyrie because he's younger and (IMO) has more upside than Love.

As far as Kyrie's performance in the Finals, well, I'm not going to defend him. He's been dog . They all have. Not sure what I can tell you there.

Everyone was talking about how great Love and Kyrie were building up to the Finals. Finally had a supporting cast. Yadda Yadda Yadda.

Now its everything is wrong with them.

I dislike the Warriors, but maybe they've just taken those 2 out of game? Maybe they've exposed the Cavs and the Eastern conference?

Record wise - even against tougher comp - Loves team would have made playoffs in the East. I know Kyrie is talented but IMO Love has proven to be the superior player is all I'm saying.

No wonder the Cavs are getting destroyed then. Lebron can't do everything.

Dan Gilbert is a turd. Should have told Lebron to kick rocks when he wanted to come back. That team is a huge cluster of overpaid average players who look decent in the East.

He did the only thing he could. Put Humpty back together again & set him out front. That wasn't life & death when James left, but, it was like that. It was a near mirage when he returned. He doesn't have to ring. He has to be eligible.

Humpty is too busy playing that jukebox in the corner playing their favorite song by three dog night. The nights get warmer but it won't last long because the summer is coming. But the boys are indeed back in town just waiting for an alibi till the heroin kicks in

Btw there is no worse practice in sports than paying guys based on playoff (low sample size) performance. Cavs fluke run last year sort of ed them for the future

Everybody overrates the concept of high pressure situations. Yes, having Horry is nice but if that clown ever asks for $40 mil I tell him to right off.
