I'd say to keep trade ideas to the trade thread in the TT, but nope. Keep that outta there. The Spurs have nothing outside Leonard and LMA that could get the third-overall pick. But 16 might be in play...
Would both teams do it? Assume we give our 1st to them as well plus the rights to one or two of our foreign stashers we likely won't have the room for.

I'm speechless.
Why didn't I think of this scenario...
Boston is probably hopping against hope we get Durant to pull off this trade..
I'm pretty sure what Boston needs is another guard.![]()
The only team that could DEFINITELY use Porker are the Jazz & Danny isn't going anywhere b/c Santa Clause isn't coming to town.
Danny could be used to net a late lottery guy ala G. Hill but Porker might actually cost a 2nd rd pick.![]()
This makes a lot of sense from the Spurs standpoint. Especially if they land Conley. So the trade of Parker for the 3 would let them go after a young athletic big. So it'd be Conley, Durant, Leonard, Green, and a young big.
In NBA 2k, I always traded my overpaid baggage with decently-high overall ratings to the worst teams in the league in exchange for their first round pick. Worked every time like a charm. Don't know why it wouldn't work in this case.
Who of course we would take with the 3rd pick. I don't know about that Bender guy, could be the next Darko Milicic. Need some tough American meat in there, provided it's someone humble and with the brains to stay out of trouble.
What about LMA?
No need to overthink it. It would work. Assuming the Spurs actually think about who they pick up at 3. Not sure if it would require TP or Danny. But at this point, landing Durant, Conley, and the 3...it would be worth it to take a chance and part with either.
yeah...I was just looking at that. His write up said he plays either forward and "occasionally" center. I'm not sure I really like that.
Parker, Diaw, LJC, Bertans, our first, our second, Popovich for pick #3. Salaries don't have to match if both teams would still be under the cap.
You've lost me. That doesn't make any sense.
I will add that there have been lots of rumors about a Parker for Holiday trade. Which would mean they'd have to give up Green for the #3.
Why would the Celtics want to trade for Parker when they already have Isaiah Thomas. They don't need to point guards on big salaries. And they can't play them together. Just an unworkable trade idea. Celtics are looking to package their trades for stars, not former stars on the downside of their careers. And the Spurs pick is the 29th...that can be toilet paper...most of the people picked that late don't stick. And why would they want any of our foreign stars when they have the 3rd pick, better to gamble on the third pick.
OP keep your childish out of here...
I think the disappointment of the playoff loss have caused SpursFan to underestimate the value of Parker as a mentor and solid backup PG.
Nobody on the planet would give up the 3rd overall pick for Parker or Green.

LMA couldn't net a 3rd overall pick even if his life depended on it.![]()

Disagree. We saw the number one pick be used for Kevin love. The black Kevin love is also worth a high pick in the right
Scenario
Tony Parker will neveeer, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeveeeeeeeeeeeeer leave the Spurs.
Thanks.
Fact : Spurs cannot compete with status quo
They need a mix of younger players and top notch free agents.
Bring in Durant and get the #3 pick. If they can also get Conley, then it's icing on the cake.
