Disagree. We saw the number one pick be used for Kevin love. The black Kevin love is also worth a high pick in the right
    Scenario
Kevin Love fit the Spurs style of motion offense like a glove. LMA completely destroyed it. The Spurs weren't that half court oriented since 2011. Overall, Kevin Love is probably a better player but don't underestimate the power of Lebron. Wiggins wasn't a fit in Cleveland and they weren't in a rebuilding mode. Seeing as how Wiggins was going to need time to develop, it was an easy decision to trade off a number 1 draft pick to bring in a player that Lebron hand selected.

LMA is hardly a game changer. He's a high volume, high usage mid range jump shooter. Unless you're dealing with a brain dead GM or a draft that is ridiculously bad, I can't see him netting a top three pick.

Nah that's not a fair trade. The Spurs should really hold out for the 1st pick for Parker. Only Ben Simmons is worth trading away Parker.

For Draymond Green, maybe (but might have to throw in Jabari Parker)

Maybe for the Celtics 2nd round pick...no way they are giving up 3, for a washed up pg, and/or a one trick pony (on offense ). Why would Bos do this?

Fact : Spurs cannot compete with status quo
They need a mix of younger players and top notch free agents.
Bring in Durant and get the #3 pick. If they can also get Conley, then it's icing on the cake.
The only player on the Spurs roster that Boston would be willing to trade the third pick in the draft for is Leonard and the Spurs would laugh at that trade.

Boston has two young guards, both on reasonable contracts... why on earth would they even consider trading for Parker? It makes no sense.

Parker would be an excellent mentor for their guards. A PG with Finals experience and one who's played with the greats.

Boston isnt going to give up the third pick in the draft and pay 15 million a year or two years to get a mentor.

Lol. It's not like he'd just be sitting on the bench. He'd be the backup PG.

This. And it's not like Isaiah Thomas is a rookie. He's a vet that made the all star team and had stellar performances in the playoffs this year. Celtics will trade pics for superstars only. Otherwise they will stockpile their assets and see if they develop or provide for a trade for a superstar down the road.

To ask for a third round pick for Parker is overvaluing him. I like Parker and he is a contributor that still has some good years left. But his all star days are over. Boston has mid-level talent and an all-star point guard. They need a superstar to take them to the next level. They don't need Parker and his contract would eat up their cap space. If he had a smaller contract, then they might want him (though not with the third pick). But his cost makes no sense for a bench player. Also, the Spurs can't trade him until they replace him. We don't have a starting point guard in our stable. Spurs are in win now mode, so they won't give up their only point guard for a question mark as the third pick.

Did you even read my post? Spurs add Conley. Along with Durant, LMA, Green, and the third pick. They'd be formidable to say the least.

To balance the salaries, Boston would have to throw in Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder. That sounds do-able.

Once the Spurs lock up the 3 pick, they should really look into trading it for Denver's 3 first-round picks at 7, 15, and 19. This one brilliant trade is going to solve the Spurs' re-building problems.
