Maybe if they throw in Anderson or Simmons.. Yeah, that'll do it.
That's a pipe dream. No way Denver does that.
Maybe if they throw in Anderson or Simmons.. Yeah, that'll do it.
Then it doesn't make sense for the Spurs.
How in the world are they going to add KD and Conley too may I ask? Both? Plus the third pick for Parker, are you dreaming or high?
I haven't crunched the numbers yet but I'm pretty sure it works. Maybe Conley and Durant each have to take less. Plus they'll save money on the Parker for 3 trade.
They're going to take less money and get all that HEB money..
I doubt someone trades the third pick in the draft for Parker at this point in time, Durant and Conley both would be doable but I really doubt it happens. They would have to do some trades probably and lose a lot of players on that bench plus TD and Manu retire.THAT IS IT!
I don't know then. They need a big. Maybe Green for Steven Adams.
LMAO... the premise to this thread is that Boston is going to give up the 3 pick for Tony Parker (and his albatross $15M) salary. Why stop there? KD and Conley will sign for $6M each, so the Spurs will have some money left to chase other FA's.
it, World Car might be able to get Lebron the the kind of endorsement money to make up for the paycut he'll take to come here..
I doubt they trade Green yet, they do need a big though I agree. They also need a PG or at least a very good back up PG if one is out there. Conley would be nice, put Parker on the bench and start Conley and sign Gasol or someone of the sort. That is not too far out there.
It could happen. LeBron and Boban together could sell a load of Kias. It's as likely as anything else I've read.
Spurs FO just refuses to think out of the box. And they don't play 2K. Damn the man!
No way Boston make that deal...
If ther's a chance to have a high first (5) for Green is with Minnesota (Thibs could really appreciate and need the 3 and d that Green is, and Green is probably a lot more reliable that what they could draft, like Hield).
Surely the Spurs would grab Kris Dunn with #3... if they had any ing hope of getting #3, which they don't. Celts don't need Parker when they already have a glut of Gs (IT2, Smart, Bradley), and Spurs FO will not move TP anyway.
Don't suggest Green because that would open up a huge hole at SG, and he's an elite defender and 3 shooter on a cheap contract relative to what it'd cost to replace his quality.
So we trade Danny for #5 and take... Heild? Make no sense to me. Or do we hope Dunn falls to #5 (looks unlikely), and also hope Pop and TP would be fine with letting him start?
Nope, sit out this draft and FA season, make a minor trade for MCW and Plumlee, and get everything ready for a big splash in 2017.
Dumbest thread I've seen in a long time
if spurs want Dunn and Minnie want green they just can make the deal the draft night...it's not out of question that Dunn is still available at 5 (after the onbious two, i see Bender and Brown as the more probable 3 - celtics - and 4 - suns - draft choice). It all depends, imho, if Thibs likes Rubio or not...
You're seriously discussing this? I understand the OP and a few others... but you?
Nobody is taking Parker's $15M salary, unless the Spurs throw in something else of value. NOBODY. But to take his salary, and give back a #3 draft pick? The GM would have to fire himself.
These trades are all doable if you throw in the wild card that is Matt Bonner.. I mean which locker room, GM and head coach wouldn't want a Matt Bonner.. He's our ace in the hole. Spurs are going to want a load for him though, might just be our ticket to a multi team trade that nets us Picks, Superstars and cap space.
Don't want Plumlee, he was the worst player on the Portland roster in this (last) year's playoffs. Rather have Alex Len so Boban doesn't have to curl up into the fetal position against him 4 times a year.
You know it's a crazy take when OP says it. Kinda like the Spurs losing to the Thunder.![]()
It's amazing how many people over or under estimate TP's worth. He has value...you don't have to include an asset to get rid of him but, he's not bringing back anything significant other than cap space.
the idiocy here is approaching the jimmer thread. why is this still a conversation?
You couldn't get the third pick for Parker and Green. If we want to live in Fantasy Land, why not trade for 1996 Michael Jordan?
We're not talking about both. Just one or the other. I think Parker makes more sense for the Spurs to trade as he's slowed down quite a bit and his contract makes it difficult to do other things. But if it came down to it, I'd be OK with Green going for the 3rd pick also.
