Non statutory rapists deserve mandatory 20 year sentences, no doubt. All we can do now is hope Jerome and/or Hans and/or Pablo give him the aids.
That is ed up. Saw a story on a talk show about an 18 Y.O guy sleeping with his 16 Y.O girlfriend. The mom didn't like him so she reported him for stat. rape thinking that he would stay away from her daughter. He gets registered as a sex offender but the twist is that they wind up getting married and have been together for like ten years and have three kids but now he cannot get a job because he is on the list and it affects their living situation.
But at what age do you draw the line?
Many states have a Romeo & Juliet law to help with that. You can be 18 and have sexual relations with a 16 or even 15 year in some cases. I think the range is three years.
Sixteen. Sixteen YOs are old enough to drive cars but can't have sex with someone two years older them? Sounds silly to me. It varies by state, Utah is 14 for age of consent but most states are 18. Romeo & Juliet laws also apply in a lot of states too. Dude in that story I told life is ruined because his GF was two years younger they got married and a family but his life is permanently altered for consensual sex, meanwhile this guy gets six months for raping an unconscious girl that does not make any sense.
Someone neefs to.move to utah.
nah, I'm in my early twenties my personal cutoff is probably twenty and probably no older than 32. Laws like that are pretty odd though. So 17 and 364 days they are not ready to understand what they are getting into when they have sex but at 18 they are? that's arbitrary.
ABC reporting that Stanford rapist will only serve 3 months. Privileged POS gets three months for raping an unconscious woman while that football player gets five years for a rape that he did not commit
Only 3 months? My God...this is unreal. Who the are the jurors in this case?
i read theres a pe ion to remove the judge from their position....lol losing job over some pos
There has to be a cutoff somewhere, that's where the Romeo & Juliet laws come into play.
nice.
i see what you did here.
Sure we can't have pervs out here trying to sleep with 12 year olds but the point is that it is arbitrary, why not twenty, or twenty six, twenty eight or even thirty five? At sixteen you can drive a couple thousand pound vehicle but are under the age of consent to be able to legally have sex but at eighteen its all good? That is just silly. At eighteen you can die for your country but cannot drink alcohol legally but you can buy cigarettes. The point I was making that it doesn't make much sense. When people think of rape they think forceful but not necessarily stat. rape. They have been instances where a sixteen old has had sex with someone who is 18 or 19 and the older party gets labeled as a sex offender despite consent, the law basically treats them as the same thing.
I think the jurors found him guilty but the judge could have sentenced him to fourteen years but chose six months because it was his first offense. With good behavior or something, he will be out in less than 100 days.
Thats the U.S. court system for you.
Unrelated but a 15 Y.O black kid from Baltimore was tried as an adult and spent nine years in prison for murder only to be released after it was determined that he did not commit the crime. The actual guy confessed before the kids trial started but the prosecution decided to go through with it anyway.

U got a link?
She's older than himclearly just a butthurt . That kid got screwed over by feminazi merica... no prior criminal history, no proof he actually raped her, just his words against hers and of course the wins... the USA #supportISIS #StopCoddling es #StopFeminism #StopMisandry #BuckTheTrend #StopProgressivism
This ing re clearly hasn't actually looked at the facts of the case...what a stupid .
But if you make it 16, you'll have scenarios where two 15-year olds are in love but one turns 16 and suddenly becomes a perv by law. As I said, you have to make cutoff somewhere. At least at 17-18, people are ready to go off to college and make new associations. Nothing is perfect and if you make too many loopholes, the real pedos will take advantage.
They could make it an age gap. Something like you cant be more than two years older. So 18/16 for example would be ok. No minimum age
That already exist, it's called Romeo & Juliet laws. I'm curious to know if they punish extreme cases though, like a 16-year old with a 4-year old or something. Can someone help me out with that?
Thats not true. My homie got statutory rape and child pornograhy when his girlfriend was 16 and he was 18
They're not in every state but they do exist:

Why the Romeo and Juliet law came into existence?
Before the Romeo and Juliet law came into existence, the boy in the example discussed above would have been charged with statutory rape, a felony offence that would have canned him for a 10-20 year prison sentence, a guarantee that he will stay on the sex offender list when he gets out and just a very difficult life even once he serves his sentence and is released.
If the sex was consensual and the boy was only one or two years older (up to 4 in some states) than the minor female, why should he be punished so severely. People make mistakes, especially when they are 17. When the girl is younger only by a year or two or three or four, it would be unfair to say that the boy was much more an adult than the girl. This is why after a lot of lobbying the Romeo and Juliet law was introduced.
Under the Romeo and Juliet law, as long as the sex wasn’t forced, the accused male will probably receive a much more lenient sentence of say 1-4 years.
In other words, it helps...
