    How the mighty have fallen

Brazil NT (since 2007) is mired bigger crisis than any other down periods undergone by the major soccer powerhouse recently (Germany/ITA/Argentina)...

if they don't do a root and branch review of the whole field and show promise by the next Copa they host in 2019, they might actually go the way of Urguguay in the second half of last century..

Holy I can't even imagine the scenes when Brazil inevitably loses in the Olympics with Neymar and at home

You know it's been bad when I don't remember Mexico even struggling against Brazil, I'm 21 and my first game I attended was a win over Brazil at the Azteca (don't remember what year, I was little)

Forget about 2019. If they continue like this they won't get to 2018.

I have US at 5th right now, but it will take a lot going their way to win it all, imho.

I would certainly mantain an appropriate level of fear in a potential semi against the US.

The US has potential but it's just hard to look at that squad and take them too seriously. Maybe in a couple years, but right now I'd love a matchup with the States in the Semi-Finals

US has the mentality of never die at ude every they participate in, even though they know they are nowhere near the talent and skillset of superior teams... as long they fight every possession with heart never give up, they are always in a chance to come out with a favorable outcome...

remember when US was ranked no.2 on some bs rankings b4 the worldcup, then was expose? roflmao .... padding wins against concaf national teams still stuck in the bronze age

sons usa should be happy to have gotten out of their group tbh. even if they might win something greece-style that doesn't mean any progress in the long run. They are still a technically deficient, tactically decent, talent starved squad. Ukraine/Croatia/Switzerland would beat the living out of the usa tbh, as did colombia, so even these 2nd tier squads are WAY in front. Usa is on the ireland/romania/albania/russia/peru/greece level tbh. Imo usa has already maxed out this style of play by being very hard compe ors, but from a point forward fighting spirit isn't enough. So until we get to see some real players they have no potential.

Messi will finally end Argentina's trophy drought
son, let's hope they don't choke, unfortunately they do have a history.
