Black man syndrome. Look good first, win second.
You solved that in '13:::win first, lose second.

Biggest choke in NBA history. It's probably second to the 2007 Patriots, but if it is, it's only by a hair.

Their analysis of Suns/Rockets from 1995 is really disappointing. They failed to mention the Wesley Person shot.

Only the most DIE HARD Suns fans have any idea what Im talking about.

In game 5 (Suns up 3-1), Wesley Person missed a wide open jump shot at the end of regulation. Suns lost in overtime, game 6 and game 7. Rockets win championship.

I mean he was WIDE OPEN.

Am I really gonna have to obliterate you again?

In the NBA playoffs, there's only been 2 instances of teams blowing a 3-1 lead with homecourt advantage prior to the Warriors choke (The Suns are one, naturally ).

In NBA history, there's been 150 of these situations (team leading 3-1 with homecourt).

    150/2=98.7 percent.

Show me a source that a team being up 2 possessions with ~30 seconds left wins 99% of the time?
    Too easy.

    Which would you RATHER have:

    1) 3-1 series lead with home court advantage. Win and you get the championship.

    2) 5 point lead and a man on the line to extend to seven with 28 seconds to go. Win and you get the championship.

    Who wouldnt pick option two?

    Sorry Spurs fans. Biggest choke.

think you are confusing heart-breaking with historic/biggest. we had 3 chances to win the ring with 2 on our home floor, 13 spurs had 2 with both away. losing like the 13' spurs would have been more heartbreaking in the moment bc of how it happened, our death was long and drawn out (and completely perplexing). can't believe i'm fighting against my own team here, but the logic on this is too obvious to not point out.

also, don't think a suns fan should ever assume the condesceding role; talk when your count rises above 0

Both situations are equally as ty, but the odds say the Warriors produced the bigger choke.

You mean both situations are great positions to be in?

So the question (again) is which situation would you RATHER be in:

    1) Up 3-1

    2) Up by five (and guy on the line for two free throws) with 28 seconds to go.

Obviously, you'd rather take number two.

I meant blowing the series when having both advantages is equally as ty heartbreak wise.

But I would take 6 over being a historically great 73-9 team with a 3-1 and then blowing the series, giving Cleveland their first le in 52 years. No one will remember or care about 6 in 20 years aside from obsessed Spur haters like yourself and Culburn. What happened to the Warriors will be forever be immortalized in sports history.

    Thats not what I asked.

I said which position would your rather be in.

Would you trade a 3-1 series lead for 5 point lead (and man on line for two) with 28 seconds left. If so, then obviously Spurs are the worst choke in the history of the sport.

Sorry monospulp. It is what it is.

I would take a 3-1 series lead when my team lost 2 games at home all season and the league MVP is also on my team.

^ It was up 4 with a man on the line for two, which he hit one. And I think I'll take 3-1 with two home games and momentum after winning game 4.

However, if my team were the Suns having a 3-1 lead, I would definitely take up 4 with 28.2 seconds left to go, since it's likely the Suns would choke, per par.

Nice spin attempt but Warriors were missing their second best player for game 5.

What was the Spurs excuse? You got all your guys, a five point lead and a great free throw shooter on the line with 28 seconds.

If Ginobili or Kawhi make both their free throws they win. If they dont give up MULTIPLE offensive rebounds they win.

Sorry..not even close. Spurs take it.

I can't imagine a team going on an astronomical 5-0 run to end the game. I'm sure that's never happened before. I mean 5 unanswered points in the NBA probably happens once in a lifetime.

That just makes it WORSE. Exponentially worse.

Now Warriors fans will forever wonder "what could've been" if Draymond didn't throw a tantrum and hit Lebron in the nuts.

I'm glad you mentioned that. Now it really settles it

    6-1, actually.

And Kawhi and Ginobili both choked. And the entire team choked on defensive glass twice. One rebound or one free throw.
