Dwight to da Knicks makes the most sense for him. He'll get his money, the spot light and the expectations are pretty low.
Howard, Porzingis, Anthony would be pretty nice tbh. Definitely 8th seed worthy

Plus the East is weak AF lol, if they can get 7th seed, they're guaranteed an ECF appearance

Before Dwight Howard decided to decline his $23.2 million player option, Houston Rockets officials tried to convince him to remain with the team according to a source. Rockets general manager Daryl Morey spoke with Howard's agent Perry Rogers and team CEO Tad Brown talked to Howard himself expressing his support as well. The team values Howard's defensive abilities and the potential of what he can do on the offensive end in a new scheme under just hired coach Mike D'Antoni as the reasoning for retaining him.

Its all lip service. They didnt hire D'antoni so Dwight could stay. You cannot be that gullible.

    He wont play for D'antoni.
lol, I forgot he was hired as Houston's coach. You don't think the Rockets hired him mostly for the reason to make sure Dwight opts out, do you? If I remembered he was the new head coach, I would have said that almost guarantees that Dwight will opt out.

Interesting. He really did want to play for Phil Jackson when he was in LA. He really wanted the Lakers to get Phil Jackson instead of D'antoni. Him going to New York has some merit.

I can't see anyone giving him anything close to that money. He should have taken the money and the year.

They hired D'antonk with the message that Dwight had better not opt in. And thats when Dwight went on a media blitz talking about how he was treated so bad with Houston. Now theres this bull Stein and Watkins are floating around that Houston wanted him to stay. If that were true, why would they hire the one guy who would push him out?

    It does make sense.
If Golden Showers offers him the same amount I think he will go in hopes of his lessor priority of a Championship happening.

Additionally to what you wrote about NY, I'm sure Dwight also remembers Phils kind words of defense when loser Kobe was bringing Dwight down in L.A.
Phil said how back injuries take at least one full year to get back to prior shape, some other stuff.

I agree to an extent, but these athletes are making so much money on endorsements and whatever else that the contracts become relatively obsolete. Of course there are terrible GM's out there that will pull the trigger, and give him a ridiculous multi-year contract in a desperate attempt to make their respective franchise's relevant. Dwight has seemingly lost interest in playing compe ive basketball though, so he has become a black hole.

Dwert to SA confirmed. New Twin Towers in LMA and Dwert. Do a sign and trade with OKC, sending Kabeta Lizard to them for Durbeta. After picking up Conley and a refreshed Boner, JHUTT.
