Just beat me to it ...

    I actually was a rose apologist ...
    3 knee injuries ago ...

I guess horny truly won't run the triangle because Rose is probably one of the worst natural fits for that offense.
Will rose run a Sloan pnr style with Melo in the malone role?
In HS, I thought rose was a capable passer and was unselfish when he clearly could have averaged whatever he wanted ...
But for some reason his vision got worse.
Maybe his vision in HS is based on physical superiority and not being able to "see ahead" like Magic or Stockton ...

As for the Lakers East ...
What does that make the Clips? Raptors West?
Oh wait, they actually have made it past the 2nd round ...

Back to the East with him then. Definitely couldn't hack it in the West.

Not sure Dwight wants to play with two ball dominant players. Why not just stay in Houston?

They sell tickets. Nothing going out is going to carry them into the championship. It's a fair trade trash for trash

man, I don't know why they prioritized GB tho, I understand their need for a wing but I don't know about this one. phil really doesn't have a clue or he simply wants to get canned asap lmao.

I wonder what happens to butler though, do they keep him or is he traded draft day...

Idk...maybe he doesnt want to play for D'Antoni. Im just completely speculating though. If they want to keep Howard i dont think they would have hired D'Antoni in the first place.

So Hornacek might go from coaching the Morris twins to D-Rose, Melo and Howard?

yeah I agree^ I think Dwight just wants to get paid. Plus Houston doesn;t want to extend his contract.

This deal clears a ton of capspace for the Knicks for summer 2017 since Rose will be in the last year of his contract. This deal doesn't look like it's about this year, Rose is just a large placeholder salary.

Basically the Knicks with Rose are doing exactly what the Heat did with Jermaine O'Neal in 2009-10: a huge expiring contract there as a placeholder for clearing massive capspace the next summer, the capspace they used to sign James and Bosh.

Howard wants to get paid PLUS get plenty of touches. Terry called him out on this recently.

Woj just said there wasn't any market for Rose, at all..he claims the Knicks were bidding against themselves and could have had him for much cheaper..

Much cheaper? They dumped a useless longterm contract, a point guard they didn't want, and exchanged a couple of garbage prospects while adding what is likely to be a high second round pick. This was a great deal for New York.
